Wow I’m glad you found another cottage clock that’s pretty cool you found it for the same price and if you do put the movement into the old one that would be cool Take care!
Nice old clock... The glass is correct might be from around 1866-1870... Funny you mentioned putting the clock in your bedroom... We've had a Mantle clock in our bedroom for some years now, and you really get used to the ticking and gong strike,,,, You tune it out... Great "White Noice" to sleep by!
That's another nice clock you've got hold of! I didn't know Seth Thomas made 30 hour movements with the same shouldered plate design as the 8 day ones. I had an 8 day one over 30 years ago which I repainted the dial of. The case had a shallow peak, rather than being a flat top. I really regret selling it, but as I sold it locally it's probably not very far away. It had a strip pallet dead beat escapement too.
Wow! 8 day cottage clocks are fairly rare from what I've gathered, same for Ogee clocks. They exist but they're really hard to find. That's really cool that you found yourself in the presence of one even if you did sell it later on. Things happen :) Thanks for the comment Tommy!
Hurrah! what a beautiful clock and how pleasant is the sound of hour strike on coiled wire gong!
I LOVE THIS CLOCK!!!!❤
Very nice clock and a good replacement for the broken one! That dial would need some touch up though.

@@DannysClocks I've actually had two 8 day cottage clocks, so maybe they were more common over here in the UK.
Could you do an in-depth look at the Korean Parliament clock sometime?
Already have actually! ruclips.net/video/6f8HqnfWP6k/видео.html
Three of your new clocks are not added to your "Clock Demos" Playlist.
Haha, yeah sorry about that. I'll get them on there eventually, I'm just incredibly lazy.
Looks like mine
