Lol. MK11 is MUCH MUCH easier to complete. You have to play it less. And there are only about 3 trophies that are somewhat Grindy. You can literally put the A.I to play out and they will basically get half the trophies.
I feel that is different though. MK9 was retelling the original story.. MK12 will start a brand new story. It was the conclusion of the trilogy MK9, MKX and MK12.. now it's time for a new story. I'm ok with that.

This is still my favorite MK game. I was saddened that the more modern ones removed the tag battles. One Saturday afternoon, I and five of my other friends played the story mode and passed the controller after each fight. The story mode was actually good and went back through some of the best fights in the series past. It almost felt like you didn't have to replay the old ones just to get the whole story, because of the way they had you play through the franchises history. Yes, the story could get a bit cheesy but it was to be expected from a story based on fighting. I had a lot of great memories and hours with this game, and the Mk games since this one haven't been as fun for me or my friends.
Thank you for not just fanboying out for this game, I feel like people don't often look at it objectively. And thank you viewers for not automatically downvoting this review... there is hope in this world!
The problem mostly comes that the character design is super lazy. If you compare the MK11 girls with the MK9 girls, the costumes for MK11 are better by a mile.

There's a few games that are really good that he's played that he ended up disliking because of the tedious repetitive tasks he has to do just to complete the game. I loved this game at launch and i played it for a few years after. One of my first competitive fighting games, and i met some really cool friends from it. Easily a Finish it, at least, but i can see play it because you burned yourself out on those cheevos. And Kiwis are the go to fruit, strawberry and banana being close seconds 🥝🍓🍌
I hear a lot of people complaining about how the outfits of women are oversexualised. But it makes more sense to fight or do athletic activities half naked like in UFC and MME fights or the Olympic sports. It doesn't make sense to wear many layers of clothes in a universe like Mortal Kombat where it's all about fighting. Plus I don't think the Outworld and Edenian women abide by the same conservative ethics that real Earth women do.

Now is full on evil, killed her own husband to get with Shao Kahn and is arguably the most despicable character in the franchise. That's a pretty massive retcon, coming after they already retconned her two games ago. Doesn't seem like they are proud of her history if they turned her into the polar opposite of what she was for the rest of the franchise.
Doom,far cry, max payne, resident evil, silent hill, tomb raider, hitman, street fighter, need for speed, assassins creed, prince of Persia, and... sonic. Those are all video games that have movies.
Other than how fatalities were handled, Mortal Kombat Armageddon was the BEST Mortal Kombat. When Jirrard says it had every character, he means it. Its also the only Mortal Kombat with a Kreate a fighter mode. There was also an awesome Mario- esque racing game and tetris style puzzle game. Both are fun as hell. The fatalities may have been bland but every character had several fighting stances unique to that fighter, many with their own weapon. Combos were unique to each of the 70+ charaters, plus their special move. When it comes to fatalities i found and of the combos that included ripping off the enemies arms and beating them with them, was a good enough finisher for me.

It makes sense for Kitana, Jade, Mileena, Sindel and Skarlet to dress like that because of Outworld's culture. That said, there's no reason for Sonya to be wearing a cutoff police vest with no undershirt or bra. I also think Sheeva should be wearing a bit more (armor and stuff), like in her alternate costume

I loved playing the game when I was younger at the Movie Theater. And the Movies are my favourites. So when I almost lost my second son at birth. I named him after my favourite fighter. This series is special to me. Love the video!
I completely agree with the 'My Kung Fu Is Stronger' Trophy requirement being absolutely ridiculous. I have great memories of playing this game as Tag Team Kombat made the game a lot more enjoyable than other fighting games at the time which were limited to 1 v 1 (Tekken Tag being an exception) ... but this Trophy alone is a reason I haven't touched the game since. But yes, the days I had to leave the PS3 on over night just to log play time really started to become annoying. Not only did it mean that the console was being over worked and started to heat up, it also meant that my siblings at the time couldn't actually play a game they wanted to, because I was Idling for the sake of a Trophy.
For the skeptical people, he doesn't just start a game from the beginning of week, he rarely does. He will play most of his time on a certain game he's focussed one, but he definitely does prep work or just general playing before that. Take a look at his FFX video where he (sort off) talks about this.
I remember completing this game YEARS ago. It was a hell of a grind, but it was worth it for me. I love the Mortal Kombat franchise and yeah, though it was easier when there were more people online for the game back then, I saw it as a stepping stone for a lot of things other games ended up doing afterwards.
I think Mortal Kombat II will always remain my favorite out of the series. It's kind of hard to beat so many nostalgic fond memories with friends on the couch. So many non-forgettable epic moments of close call fights!

The fatalities may have been bland but every character had several fighting stances unique to that fighter, many with their own weapon. Combos were unique to each of the 70+ charaters, plus their special move.
When it comes to fatalities i found and of the combos that included ripping off the enemies arms and beating them with them, was a good enough finisher for me.
A lot of the newer characters from the 3D Era don't deserve the hate they get. There were a lot of cool ones. They just needed to be handled better.

MK is my favorite fighting game ever and MK9 is probably my all time favorite one in the franchise. But it's mostly the nostalgic roster.
Each subsequent game has really improved the fighting (especially the way those combos work)
MK9 still has my favorite version of Jade. She is just stunning.

It makes sense for Kitana, Jade, Mileena, Sindel and Skarlet to dress like that because of Outworld's culture. That said, there's no reason for Sonya to be wearing a cutoff police vest with no undershirt or bra. I also think Sheeva should be wearing a bit more (armor and stuff), like in her alternate costume

I loved playing the game when I was younger at the Movie Theater. And the Movies are my favourites. So when I almost lost my second son at birth. I named him after my favourite fighter. This series is special to me. Love the video!

I completely agree with the 'My Kung Fu Is Stronger' Trophy requirement being absolutely ridiculous. I have great memories of playing this game as Tag Team Kombat made the game a lot more enjoyable than other fighting games at the time which were limited to 1 v 1 (Tekken Tag being an exception) ... but this Trophy alone is a reason I haven't touched the game since.
But yes, the days I had to leave the PS3 on over night just to log play time really started to become annoying. Not only did it mean that the console was being over worked and started to heat up, it also meant that my siblings at the time couldn't actually play a game they wanted to, because I was Idling for the sake of a Trophy.
Before I even watch this, I refuse to believe you got the “My kung fu is stronger” achievement legitimately within a week. Absolutely no way in hell.

I love this channel, but I'm skeptical about this whole thing as well.
For the skeptical people, he doesn't just start a game from the beginning of week, he rarely does. He will play most of his time on a certain game he's focussed one, but he definitely does prep work or just general playing before that. Take a look at his FFX video where he (sort off) talks about this.
I remember completing this game YEARS ago. It was a hell of a grind, but it was worth it for me. I love the Mortal Kombat franchise and yeah, though it was easier when there were more people online for the game back then, I saw it as a stepping stone for a lot of things other games ended up doing afterwards.

I think Mortal Kombat II will always remain my favorite out of the series. It's kind of hard to beat so many nostalgic fond memories with friends on the couch. So many non-forgettable epic moments of close call fights!
