Also important to mention in games without DDs, the BBs should spot for the cruisers. Feel like not enough of the player base understands that. *edit: Seeing as there is a lot of confusion let me provide more context. Without DDs it becomes a problem of who should trade their HP in order to spot the enemy. When I say BBs should spot I don't mean they have to push in and die. But given the choice of playing behind island cover or playing in open water, the BB should do the latter. This is because the cruiser gains much more benefit (givin its lower survivability) being able to fire undetected, while BBs are typically spotted anyway, have the HP to tank dmg, and the armor to angle. Although cruisers have the better detectability and could spot in open water without firing, you want to make use of the higher DPM cruisers have compared to BBs. Therefore the ideal scenario is for the BBs to play open water and spot, while the cruisers play cover as it maximizes dpm (greatest number of ships firing for the the longest period).
@@TheBattloid Cruisers can't tank as much dmg so ideally they would play cover. They also have higher dpm than BBs. So yes, it makes sense for the BBs to spot if there are no DDs.
Nahh mate. The light Crusiers become dds if no light Crusiers then heavy so on and so forth. In this battle the points moot as there's a carrier im play. I do however recommend battle ships help spot when they can especially late game.
Had one game where the Iowa hit reverse and never stopped, slid all the way to the other side by game's end. I still haven't got through the Colorado yet, have to be in the mood for that with blue doing blue stuff. I have three T7s to buy already anyway.
Good God... what skin is that???? Looks like a Mardi Gras float. :-) Iowa was once the terror of tier VII and seems to have been power crept a bit although, it's still a potent ship.
I use Cunningham. Pretty critical to a full accuracy build. I tend to use Ciliax as my 2nd to increase my AP damage. That little extra has saved me more times than I can count.
@@shockwave6213 if you really think that 5% damage has “saved you” you’re deluded. Now if you’re talking about the almost 20% that you can get with reigerwald on a cruiser then I’d understand. But 5% is so minuscule. Like if you do 100k damage without that extra 5%, then you’d only be doing 105k with it. It’s not worth it over other perks that will ACTUALLY increase your overall damage like von Essen.
I run Sims with both Cunningham and Scharnhorst both, just my preference. However if you have to choose one, Sharnhorst is the better choice IMO. Cunningham's skill groups your shells together, so that all the shells will hit closer to one another. BUT the area in which the shells land is unchanged. So if your shells go long for example, ALL your shells will land together but still be long. Scharnhorst on the other hand shrinks the area that the shells will land in. Meaning the shells may still separate from on another but all will land in a smaller area. Think of it this way. You have a circle where your shells will land. Cunningham will have a normal circle but all the shells will group together in that circle. Sharnhorst will have a smaller circle, the shells will spread within that circle but has a smaller circle in which to spread. Hope this makes sense and helps.
sorry Tbull, the Amagi and Bismark did not have WTR going at all. WTR does not start until your under 20% health and neither ship got that low until right at the end. WTR was not an issue AT ALL in this game. Neither ship dipped under 40% health until right at the end so WTR never activated. Yes they were going to use it, that is obvious but in this case it was never an issue as they never dropped to a low enough health to activate the skill.

The bb's should spot for the cruisers??? Really I thought cruisers should spot for bb's "I maybe wrong if somebody knows???"
Lol yeh the ships with longer detection radiuses should spot for the ships with shorter detection radiuses…….😂 outstanding advice

Well dang I feel dumb. Thought otherwise as well.

Backed right back into the previous game
Why not run Main Battery Mod 3 to get 20% better turret traverse in your first modification slot?
Accuracy Build
This ship feels like a giant clumsy Alaska.
Well played TBull and great example of BB play

Great game and amazing video, sir. Thank you. Also, the carrier never dropped your ship, could it be the anti air campaign is paying off?
Ooo fancy thumbnail
Great video tbull
So is it better to use Cunningham or Scharnhorst as an inspiration on American battle ships?

Well, the Bismark may have had it activated for about 30 seconds when in range of the Colorado but still, was not an issue in this game.
Nice battle 👻🙋
Never use will to rebuild. For the same reason as the one posted earlier.
Wtr ridiculous
Excellent Kraken. CV gone
Fixing = highlight and delete….lmao
Haha W2R go brrrrr
This ship is too much overated imho. Kansas has overcome this ship for so long
