Tejas is a great success however considering the lag and delay in meeting expectations from its customers like IAF & Indian Navy - its high time to end monopoly of HAL in aerospace production - get them competition by introducing companies like L&T & TATA I believe the quality of HAL’S design & production will drastically improve once they are placed in a competitive environment
When it will be inducted in IAF. Currently even the order for 1st 83 fighters are not placed. I hope India will achieve the target of AMCA induction in 2028, China already has J-20 with similar specs. We should change bureaucratic red tape and project execution inefficiency in our country at least in defense. Persons should be held responsible for not achieving the targets. People works better when they are under pressure and project planning and management softwares should be used to track every milestones.

The type of aircraft you are talking about is also expensive to maintain and fly, so we can't afford to have all the aircraft which are heavy weight fighters.. we need some light combat fighter too, which are cheap and can do what they are supposed to, and in this case it is better than what our enemy has.
Bro you also need to understand that Long Range Fighters are meant to attack countries which are very far from you. For us the main adversaries of India are our neighbours i.e Pakistan and China. Hence we don't require a fighter which is a heavyweight fighter. We already have 272 Su 30 for that. Rafale, Mirage 2000, Mig 29 UPG, Jaguar Darin 3 and Tejas MWF will take care of Medium Range fighters. For a point defence fighter which can defend your territory as well as attack if required and take care of Air to Ground roles, we will have Tejas Mk1 and Tejas Mk1A. Also in the future our jets won't have to necessarily cross the border to attack terrorist camps. We can easily deploy Long Air to Ground Missiles on our fighters which will perfectly do the job for us. Brahmos has already been integrated on Su 30 which will have a range of 300 km. Work is under process to extend it's range even further. Brahmos NG will start getting integrated by 2023 on Mirage 2000, Mig 29 UPG, Tejas Mk1A and Tejas MWF which will have a range of 400 km. Also as shown in the video, both Tejas Mk1 and Tejas Mk1A will be deployed on the forward bases against Pakistan. So practically speaking when they are carrying Brahmos NG, they can easily hit the target while staying inside the boundary.

Not actually, there is a process you need to understand, JF 17 is a fighter which was made by China actually and was assembled by Pakistan, so what they learnt or develop is nothing, where as LCA Tejas was made by India, hence many technology was developed for that which takes time.. now Tejas might have taken time to develop but the experience which was developed will be used in developing more modern jets in future quickly and with ease as well as help India in upgrading the existing jets, with Indian avionics which are under development.

I am also talking facts mate, the other countries are buying JF 17, because it cheap and I have compared both the jets in a video too, you can check that out... Tejas has far better performance than JF 17 and is expensive because of the avionics it has are far better, second is Tejas Mk1A which I have explained in the video is better than JF 17 Block III, although Block III will come a year or two before Mk1A, but Mk1A is better.

Not actually, there is a process you need to understand, JF 17 is a fighter which was made by China actually and was assembled by Pakistan, so what they learnt or develop is nothing, where as LCA Tejas was made by India, hence many technology was developed for that which takes time.. now Tejas might have taken time to develop but the experience which was developed will be used in developing more modern jets in future quickly and with ease as well as help India in upgrading the existing jets, with Indian avionics which are under development.

I am also talking facts mate, the other countries are buying JF 17, because it cheap and I have compared both the jets in a video too, you can check that out... Tejas has far better performance than JF 17 and is expensive because of the avionics it has are far better, second is Tejas Mk1A which I have explained in the video is better than JF 17 Block III, although Block III will come a year or two before Mk1A, but Mk1A is better.
