The dystopian civillization of Blade Runner has always sparked an irk of interest and curiosity within me too. The bright neon lights, skyscrappers, flying cars, foggy atmosphere, grim looking towns and deserted cities. People in the 80s imagined this to be the 2020s.
Thank you for your lines, mate. I never had the chance to watch the first Blade Runner movie on the big screen. Simply was too young back then. Vangelis has a special place in my heart. I tried a little tribute with my video Zhora.
The sad part of BR's release was it's date. The same week as ET and you know who had the bigger advertising budget and mass appeal of course. BR was seen as an alternative cyber-punk specialty movie and struggled to pull in the masses. Years went by and of course the cult status for the film was justly deserved and credited to the amazing creators and writer Mr. Dick.

And nobody remembers any of the actors in that movie anymore except for maybe Drew Barrymore who doesn't do anything these days. Meanwhile, Harrison Ford says hold my beer, I'm playing Red Hulk
I can imagine Cyberpunk 2 now. A mega utopia with a whole new level of depth. The scale, complexity and immersion to suck you in. This music and this vibe would be incredible to achieve.
