He’s actually right, if you have a 2 channel set up, Dolby decoding is pointless and actually can hurt the sound and create latency but 3000euro is crazy
It looks like a great speaker, but if you're going to spend that kind of cash, it easily buys you an excellent 5.1 surround sound setup complete with a good subwoofer. Soundbars are fine (if you buy the higher end, like the 990c), and this looks like a great way to fix the fact that TV's ship with abysmal sound - but I'd take five small surround sound satellites, even, combined with a sub over this.
If you are contemplating a full bang for the bucks 5.1 system, and find Canvas shabby, you're missing one the most important point. I love my 5.1 system, but. regardless of the brand, it could never be as beautifully integrated in a living room than this system. No wires, no accomodation to hide those wires, no more space needed for the speakers, no cabinet needed for the amp, no additional space taken by the sub... I believe that people who wants to compromise perceived technical accuracy (DTS, Dolby, etc) in favor of a more understated lifestyle/clean look, can be very interested in this product.
Been following CES on youtube. Good stuff. They gotta stop putting the old stuff in if the new one is backwards capable. Like why I see a TV with HDMI 2.1 and HDMI 2.0. HDMI 2.1 will do HDMI 2.0, HDMI 1.4 and so on. Same with PCIe on the motherboards for PC. Whatever.
"We only have 2 ears so sound sound is not important." Not sure that is accurate no matter how you spin it. I feel like ive seen this before, it looks very cool with he wood on the front. I would want surround speakers. If they offered 2 surround up firing speakers, like Sony makes, that would be a great add on.
Thanks to AVForums for highlighting our unique approach! 🙂
Our pleasure!
If it’s stereo wouldn’t you want to have it at ear level?

Yeah, I find it hard to imagine they would be worth it for that price, considering the alternatives.
Clearly for someone who doesn't want that in the room 😂

I'd stick with the Nakaimichi dragon 11.4.6 for $3800
Have 0 faith in company's products that do not state the +/- 3db frequency response. Sorry.
Only real problem I see with this and it’s a big one….i don’t think most people have a foot of space under their TVs
The real problem is that for the amount of money they're charging for it you can get a far better 3.1 setup.
@@wlcrgt Depends on what you want.
No thanks. Bet my Sony a7000 with sr5 is 10x better
People that think the A7000 sounds good have never actually heard quality audio. Because that thing is a piece of cr@p.
