My piercer used a nostril screw when I first got my nostril pierced, and it got pulled out really easily. I got a threadless stud from a piercer online and it's been so nice. It hasn't come close to coming out accidentally, and it's made healing so much easier
I made the mistake of going to a kiosk in the mall for my nose piercing. I soon realized that the use of a piercing gun is not the same for the nose as it is for the ears. After purchasing a lot of jewelry that was too short for me, I went to another piercer that introduced me to threadless jewelry. Best decision EVER!
I've heard many people recommend threadless jewelry for nostril piercings and I was wondering if it's just about loosing balls or if there are some hygiene related advantages?
It makes the healing process much easier & quicker. I was pierced with L bend screws and they kept getting accidentally yanked out and I kept getting bumps and it was really annoying. As soon as I switched them out to threadless pieces the bumps disappeared within a week or two and it’s been good since then. Also threadless jewellery don’t stick out your nose.
Definitely makes nose blowing easier and more hygienic! I have a lot of allergies so I appreciate that! It stays in place , does not move, is easier to clean.
I bought my best friend some threadless jewelry... I'm sending her this video to explain to her how to put it in and take it out. The video is simple and easy to understand, which I definitely appreciate... And I'm sure she will as well LOL. Luv your vids, and I dig your style sugar... Keep it up, you're awesome 😎😁💎
They arrived and I am thrilled with them. So much easier especially if you have dexterity issues like myself. It took me less than 2 minutes to change my labret when previously it could take 30 minutes or longer due to my shakes. My nervousness over it falling out was what was putting me off but I slightly bent the stem/bar before inserting it and that baby isn`t going anywhere until I actually remove it. If anything it looks like it`ll be more secure than the usual internally threaded ones I usually opt for. Thanks Scott you rock! :)
Uhoh.. my piercer used these in my oral piercings. I have 4 (2 on each side of my bottom lip). I've had them for almost 10 years and just ran into the issue of needing to remove them for X-rays at the dentist office..
Thank you so much. I bought a new piece of jewelry for snug piercing and was really struggling with it. I've used this style before and had no issues with having it stay in. Until today with the new jewelry I bought. I'm so thankful for Google lol!
I've had my piercings for ages but I'd never heard of these until I saw some pop up at my favorite jewelry shop. My go-to for anything new is to research the fuck out of it. Gotta say, I have never felt so confident in information/a tutorial as I did with this. Put me at ease and made me feel like I knew what I was doing. Thanks!!
I just broke my threadless earring the other day😩. Ive never bent them the way you suggested. And this one was really hard to do for some reason. Im gona try it the way you said, next time! Oh and threadless is the best (for me).
which kind of piercings can this apply to? thanks for the vid, Scott! ...I really need to come to see you, I hope to have some time since I'm from Sonoma County, California!
Most piercings have a Threadless option. We don't use Threadless for oral piercings at the shop. They just came out with Threadless septum rings too. It's a great option for the majority of piercings.

I LOVE threadless! My homie was complaining about always losing her medusa and I suggested this and she hasn't lost one since :)
Just been pierced with threadless jewellery and I can already tell I’m going to use nothing but threadless going forward
Scott, you're a gem.
Very helpful video. Thanks so much! I wanted to change my tragus piercing and your explanation was perfect.
I bought a bar and an end separately from the same website and I thought the got it completely wrong, but now everything makes sense! Thank you!!
Thanks for the super clear explanation 👍. This should be helpful for most people listening and I personally like the visual aspect. 😃

Threadless also tend to be higher quality from what I've noticed.

I've never used a threadless labret but after this video I have ordered a few to try. I usually use internally threaded ones x

My piercer also specifically told me that I would need to use tools/pliers to take them out..
threadless is the way to go!

There’s a really septum cute ring that’s threadless. Is that okay to put threadless jewelry in a septum piercing?
