I have to say I got mine at the beginning of December 2023 just had it in for its 9.500 mile service been as far as North Africa with no issues what so ever. I’m going next week on another trip to North Africa iv no problem putting my faith on this bike just dose everything and has everything I need in a bike. if it had a higher price I would’ve paid it…

I think it’s important to see bikes ridden in the bad weather and the bad roads as well. If they perform well there, then you know they are good. But don’t get me wrong, I would love to be invited to a nice warm country to review a bike but my channel is not quite there yet. Many more subscribers required. The joys of not being an attractive female. 😂. Just joking. Hopefully one day. 👍

Hello from Australia. I bought one of the CFMOTO 800MT's that were used as track-official bikes at the MotoGP with 300kms on it. I got it in January and I've popped 6000kms so far. I love it - it's comfortable, fast, handles incredibly well and despite my constant scrutiny, I can't fault the build quality. My 2014 Triumph Bonneville just doesn't get a look in any more.

Great to hear. They are still a new brand to the uk so there are still a few very sceptical people that just aren’t convinced by them yet.

I told my friend a few days ago about how I want a CF Moto MT450 enduro twin cylinder bike, and I explained how amazing the CF Moto engines are, how they are 270 degree crank parallel twin engines that sound incredible.
But my friend replied to that quality is just not as good on Chinese made bikes, and the metal and the fasteners aren't as good, and basically they just "appear" to be built well, but they really aren't as good.
This surprised me, because the expert motorcycle riders and reviewers have all said that the CF Moto 450 and 800, are in fact better in every single way, they look better, have less vibration (they LOOK SIGNIFICANTLY BETTER) and every piece and part is high quality, with absolutely no sign of "cheapness" in any single component.
The only negatives I've seen are too low of gear ratios on the 450MT and a snatchy or slightly glitchy low speed throttle on all of them.
It appears that it will take more time to overcome the negative reputation. I hope they will be patient with consumers, because they appear to have created some of the best adventure bikes ever made. And let's hope that it fosters a price war, and drives prices down, instead of up.

@@starseeddeluxe there are an overwhelming number of armchair experts who know the ins and outs of metallurgy all of a sudden when it comes to discussing these bikes.
I’m all for skepticism - hell, I’ve actually got skin in the game - if CFMOTO turns out to be a dud brand then I’ve done my cash.
But the truth is this isn’t a new company. They have a solid record of producing agricultural equipment that is reliable here in Australia. I love that they have partnered with KTM and rectified the issues with their 790 engine and released it in a package that actually bothers to add value for money for once.

Hello again mate from Australia. Mate I really felt for you and the weather, your a real magnet , when last
saw you it was raining. Good on you for doing the job and staying positive.
Me, I like the entry level model as an all-rounder, the weight is a heft, it is an impressive machine,
but I am if those who is not keen on tall and heavy, nor do I need the power. I had a chance on a 450 Himmie,
out in the environment I ride in , back roads dirt, forest and trails, nothing to over the top, camping, did it in
the weather you just experienced, as a new bike to me, we gelled if you like, so its a matter of horses for
courses, so now I have to save me pennies, I am told I should try the 450 M T from CF Moto, so we will see.

Picked up my CF 21:21 700MT yesterday, tried the 800 and it was just too tall and chunky for me and what I needed.Tried the Voge 525 and that was just a little too buzzy for me and again my needs. Tried the Benelli 702 and that surprised me and took me into the 700 range however appearance wise it looked rough around the edges. 2 clinchers for me is the silencer down low so as not to intrude on the pannier space and the other a centre stand which for some strange reason the 700MT does not have 🤬

Nice looking bike. Here in Canada, they are priced the same as the 800 V Strom, the 750 Transalp, and the 700 Tenere. I don’t think they will sell many here until they’re sit around, become non current models, and then offered at a deep discount. The non adventure CF Motos here seem to be priced lower than their competitors so maybe they’ll have more luck with those.

Nice review. Nice bike, no doubt. What strikes me, however, is the remark at 12:50, about the u-turn. You seem to make the capability of making a u-turn to be a function of body height? Sorry, wasn't the essence of u-turns that you do not touch the ground. How then would height matter?

    • @GillyBikes
      @GillyBikes  Месяц назад

For test purposes yes the idea is not to touch the floor. But in reality performing a tight u-turn with a heavy bike can often cause people to drop their bikes. I’ve seen it happen quite a few times. Being small is definitely an issue for this. If you happen to lose balance and go to put your feet down to steady the bike, it’s much more difficult to do on tip toes it’s very easy to lose it and end up laying it down. If you’re taller and flat footing a bike with both feet you are less likely to drop it.

    • @momaassen2516
      @momaassen2516 Месяц назад

@@GillyBikes Frankly, am I daft? What you describe, is an apparent lack of technique, which makes you paddle through the turn. Obviously, the inseam-challenged may face a problem, or two. But making a proper u-turn is exactly what those people should learn to make their lives easier. At 6'7", I never have a need to paddle my way through a u-turn.
Side note: isn't riding circles and eights part of standard motorcycle instruction world wide? Why then are so few people capable of doing so?

    • @GillyBikes

I've seen lots of cam shaft issues with that engine and not been much revelation as to what the cause actually is ... I know the warranty is very good but KTM and the basic parts to repair the chewed up head and camshaft ancillary's are only discovered when it's first valve adjustment is due or it dramatically fails prematurely.

I now know from a very short ride if the seating position is one that I would suffer with or not. If the seat, legs, foot placement and back are in a good position I know. The same way I know a sports bike I can ride for about 30 minutes without getting wrist ache and back ache. I now exactly what riding position suits me. However I will say we are all different shapes and sizes so what I find comfortable may not be for someone else. I’m at an age now were I find the riding position of adventure bikes just suits me.

A heavy bike can be a good thing , it will be more planted on the road , especially in strong winds & motorways . Also it can mean the frame is made out of proper strong steel & not light alloy which can crack easily & also go oval where the steering head bearings are seated on lighter alloy frames . I suspect that the only reason people may not buy them is more due to their misconceived snobby pretentiousness , & their need to be seen to be riding a big brand name like their equally snooty pretentious peers .

You get a lot of bike for the money.

You really do. If it had a Japanese badge on it, it would be 50% more expensive

Nice bikes. Very expensive for the new / nearly new. These are less than half the price! But certainly not half the bike. 👍

@ralliant5941 the GS is heavy but because the weight is really low down it feels surprisingly light. But can’t argue with the price. Stupidly expensive

China is really making some awesome bikes, it's going the same way as the awesome Chinese car market.

They have really upped their game with the bikes. Seen a few decent electric cars over there as well. Just a shame by the time the arrive to the Uk their price doubles 😭

I test rode this bike a few months ago, I really wanted to like it but i found it one of the worse bike iv ever ridden, the fueling was awful to point of being dangerous in town traffic, that was in sport mode, I just found trying to change the mode was a real faff, so i left it in sport, the quick shifter wasn't great, seamed like i was forcing it to change.
Such a shame because it is a lovely looking bike.

It is a bit jumpy in sport mode and the quick shifter is just like the KTM to be honest I just didn’t use it because I’d seen a few comments out it being bad. I just rode it like it didn’t have one. The bike itself is just like the 790 Adventure but looks better. To save your time I wouldn’t bother testing that if you didn’t like this one. 👍

The new mapping solved this issue. I have the new explorer model and it’s a total different bike. Not jerky at all.

Fuel map update helps but may also require throttle remap procedure to completely solve snatchy, jerky throttle. Combined throttle inputs linear and smoother.
