I'm confused by your title, ok, I see what they make, but there was no mention of how to make money, ie the filament/energy cost vs the price you sell for
So when getting ready for a event. What does your setup list look like? What do you take? How much product do you make and how do you keep track of them. I have so many questions. I have been wanting to do it but have ao.much anxiety about it.
Thank you! I do not at all regret signing up for the lifetime! It very quickly paid for itself, and it’s great having the peace of mind with that lifetime subscription.
I am awaiting my 1st 3D printers arrival. My daughter wants cosplay stuff, do they have any, I am in to articulated figures so this video was super helpful.. trying to see if STLFLIX is something for me. Not too many reviews so hard to make a decision.
Depends on your budget, and size of prints you want. I would recommend a bambu with AMS for multi color prints. They have a lot of options for several price ranges
looking to get into this. thanks for sharing. i see that many of their models are branded (have their name on them) . do the model also have branding? that'd be a problem for commercial use. thanks
The models will usually have the logo, or say STLFLIX on the bottom. I’ve never had anyone notice or care, but you could also throw the stl into tinker cad to modify it after the fact.
I went more in depth in a live i did last week, i made it through about half the catalogue. Check it out here Browsing the StLFLIX Library ruclips.net/user/liveDx9Pd8wL5Is?feature=share
How about a video of files from there that are easy to print, ono color and things that you sell the most, it is overwhelming when you want to start and yav9 to many options
Kinda awkward not being able to browse models, looks like lifetime is no longer an option. Do they have download limits, whats to stop me from just downloading everything on a 1 month sub, then just dl anything new in half a year ?
As far as i know they don’t have limits. If you don’t care about having commercial licensing I’m sure you can do that, but you can only legally sell their stuff with an active subscription
@@IdiotCraftMan Not so much that I want to be greedy and scam, 600 + models is not all that much, many are made for resin which I don't have, a majority of the rest I likely would not be interested in. True, even finding a few models would be worth a months sub, but its tough to see anyone paying for a full year when they can just pay a month and get what they want. I just started so I don't see myself making masterpieces to sell in the near future
@@JesseJames-wj8ft Yeah, I mean it all depends on what level you are at. If you're just looking at doing personal prints, they have a cheaper non commercial thing. If you are looking to sell, I think that you have to have the commercial licensing subscription to avoid any legal trouble, but I don't fully know. I'm sure doing a one month trial would be perfectly acceptable. I know that I have mostly just a few things that I regularly print, but I do like to go through and print the occasional weekly drops that they do.
Ijus came across ur video. Im wondering if i shuld be a member. But im interested in trash cans, electric boxes, pay phones. Like graffiti stuff and hello kitty things too lmk
This would have been better if you'd have spent less time in the articulated section and more time showing us the breadth of variety available. Functional items. Cosplay items. Gift items. Kitchen items. Show us the variety.
What do you say about if you are subscribing to sell wouldn’t the difficulty be that lots of other people would be selling also. Say like funko pops. Funko has over flooded their market to the point there is too much competition. I know this won’t be that drastic but that’s just the first example that popped in my head.😅 Or like all those flexi factory toys. Everyone and their mama pretty much sells them on etsy.

You should tone your music down a bit. Was hard to make out what you were saying in some parts
Thanks for the heads up. I have toned down the music drastically since this video!
The music is ridiculous, this is not a Star Wars movie
That’s true, i don’t have nearly the budget of Star Wars! I’ve since stopped gratuitously using music.

This is a good video. Showing what they have definitely makes me want to get the commercial lifetime. Thanks.

Probably not the cosplay stuff you are looking for. I have seen some generic helmets and weapons, but nothing character specific
@@IdiotCraftMan thank you.
Hello, Which 3D printer you recommend that I can print with colors, thank you in advance.

Do they have like phone stands, or items to use in the kitchen? Is it just figurines? I am looking for key chains, self defense items, stands, etc

Key chains: yes, self defence: I don't think so, stands: yes (multiple types like phone & wine holders)
Music is a bad idea can't here you
What's with the music...omg
The music was a horrible idea. I wanted to hear what you had to say, but you were drowned out. Sadly I couldn’t finish this video :(
I’m sorry, I’ve heard that a lot, i may try to see if i can reload it without music
where is the lifetime i dont see it anywhere?
They don’t offer lifetime anymore unfortunately. I think they have one and two year options for somewhat cheaper
How about a video of files from there that are easy to print, ono color and things that you sell the most, it is overwhelming when you want to start and yav9 to many options
That’s not a bad idea!
What is your pricing strategy?
Depends on where you’re selling, what your fees are, time to print, and difficulty of print. Short version, $1.50-$5 per hour printing.

Can’t find the lifetime license on their site.
They might not be running the lifetime license anymore
Would’ve been a good video if I could’ve heard anything that you said

I'll check for you. Are you using filament, or resin?
@@IdiotCraftMan filament. Pla 1.75. I have dremel 3d40
Request for graffiti style stl’s. This is a close as i can find

Thank you for the feedback! I’ll try to put one out this week with more stuff. Would you be interested in their resin stuff also, or just filament?

Every major city in America has several Walmarts that all sell the same stuff, and they seem to be doing fine.
