I have owned many super cars Ferrari, Lambo, Detomaso Pantera GT5 . I am not so wealthy now in my later years and I can tell you the Porsche Boxster represents a true sports car for a modest outlay. I have the 3.2 manual S version with 6 speed box, bigger brakes and alloys. Worth the extra over the 2.7.
Thanks for your comment! I Will be doing 50 next month and Porsche is my dream car. The 911 is not affordable for me, and your comment really gave me Hope to go for a used and more affordable boxster. Lets see in f it happens… Wish you all the best Roger. Stay healthy and safe as possible. Cheers
@@paulherrera1853 Im 79 now and I still love driving my Boxster. Good luck with finding a good one. Look out for low miles, full service history, not too many owners.other things to look out for is smoke on start up, weak syncro on 2nd gear. Some rattle on start up which is ok as long as it goes in a second or two. I have owned so many over the years I do have quite a bit of experience with them. I automatically change the oil as soon as I have purchased it to check the oil and filter for metal which could be an indication of ims failing.
Thanks for an interesting watch, I'm not too familiar with the Boxster so this was a great introduction to the car, it's variants and how it looks and drives.
@@paulknight1332 Thank you for watching Paul, I learnt a lot about the Boxster too when researching for this video. It is certainly an engaging car to drive. 🙌🎬
@@brightenupcc thank you for watching my video, I hope you enjoyed the other facts in this film. I suspect that the reason why I feel there is more legroom in the 911 is because the Boxster has the engine in the middle and the 911 has it in the back so this means when you’re in the Boxster, there is less room for the drivers seat to move backwards.
@@hawaiirealmedia5610buying one is a piece of cake. Keeping it in good working order can be far more challenging. And yes, these cars have many inherent flaws that sure make them look quite shoddy compared to a lot of other cars out there. Thats the cold hard truth.
Loved this review. Just bought a boxster S, and i share your enthusiasm. You are a really good car journalist. Keep it up.

They certainly are a great drivers car that you can pick up at a low price 👌

Thanks man! It’s great fun creating these car reviews 👊🔥
Which Engine did you use for this video? Im looking to buy one
@@lazerct Thanks for watching, this is a 2.7
@@YoungFilmmaker Thank you! Just checked one out today
Let me correct you, the 986 Boxster has a longer wheelbase than 996 911 Carrera, not the other way around as you indicated.
