To be honest I'm kind of happy that I'm poor. When I first saw that this model gets an updated version I was sad to not have enough money for it. Now that I see your review I'm a bit disappointed that you get so little for that much (1700€). I surely hoped they would update more aspects of the model to a todays standard. For example the plastic connectors or the underside of the body. For a model for half the money, it would be enough. For that price tag, it's almost pure audacity. But unfortunatly, it just continues Conrads heritage of the last years :(
I would agree with you for the money and this day in age the plastic pins and pendants should be a thing of the past, but i dont agree that you get so little. The model offers plenty of options to configure the model where others dont plus its what 3.6 meters tall fully built? Its more bang for your buck then the NZG LR11000. Unfortunately for us collectors models will just keep getting more expensive.
Great review as always, Ian 🙂 You made one little mistake though: the outriggers are only extended in configurations without derrickmast and counterweight tray. In full configurations they are not, the total weight of the crane is too much then. Hence the non-telescopic outriggers on the new 9-axle version, the LG 1800. They could be made lighter and more efficient. As for the level of detail, for Conrad standards they did a good job. For instance, they finally got rid of the toy-like off-road tyre pattern on the carrier. Price is always an issue with Conrad... but for this crane they had to make a whole lot of mast section variations they never made before. So I understand that there was no room for further updates on the existing model forms from 16 years ago.
Thanks for that Victor. In both the original manual section and the new section for the SX it shows the outriggers extended. It would have been nicer for this model if the manual had more Liebherr input about the real crane as that would have been fitting for a flagship model.
Like others have said, way overpriced. All that is really new is the sx boom and small jib, with added walkways and metal sheaves. I understand trying to save money and use old tooling but this model came out almost 20 years ago for i think about 1000 bucks, with derrick and luffer configuration. Now conrad remakes it and adds the sx kit, jib, and some new walkways for all the sections and adds another 1000 bucks. I just dont understand conrad most of the time, i can get the sarens cc8800 with boom booster and jib, which is a whole lot more model crane for 500 bucks less. I know prices for everything is high now days but its getting harder to collect these things. Last big model i bought was the sarens ac700 in 2021. I would love to get all new ones like the lr11000, cc2800, ltm1650, maybe even the updated cc8800 but i just cant afford these things anymore. But great review as always ian. I think this model looks good but outta most collectors price ranges
Good review Ian, unfortunately Conrad still hasn't hit the mark with quality especially for this price point. I don't believe this will ever be a good collectible piece as the edition size is a massive (750) and greatly overpriced.
So it’s an standard lg1750, with the reductors and angled head kits, with the sx3 kit that was previously made by YCC but using plastic internal parts and plastic pendant, but for more price, math ain’t mathing 😂
Ouch, 'Very Good' isn't a great score for such a hyped model and plastic pendants in 2024??. I still feel safer buying a Conrad model than the other brands because you know you're getting a solid model with(on the whole) better QC and less breakages. But these prices are getting insane :(

Agree...and ya can get a YCC 1550 for less and its a hell better value...

Yes you finally did a video of the lg1750 I've been waiting for this since 2018
I'm now waiting for the LR-11350
Where do you keep your models after a video? Is it owned by a company or do you buy them yourself? By now you should have a whole museum!
I also wonder...
I think he keeps them in storage. this was his answer in one of his old videos

for owners of the original 1750, you can get the LIEBHERR LR 1750/2 LG 1750 SX3-System boom parts and not having to buy this whole rerelease model
