Yes the Vermeille was the key. This was the trial that the clueless Lewis 🤡 thought was a weak one which Bluestocking could only win as she could not win a Group 1 in the UK 🤔. That's her third Group 1 now 😂.

Of all the races that "Los Angeles" had had, it was the first time that he came out in front. He is a horse that feels good running from behind, to finish the last 400 meters.I couldn't say whether it was a deliberate mistake by Aidan O'Brien to have that strategy right.

It marred the race - there’s been a lot of fatalities this year and I wish they would scan horses before every race for stress fractures, like they do in Oz before the Melbourne Cup. Horses don’t just break their legs like that, there has to be a weakness, usually from a stress fracture. RIP ❤
Got to be honest, although it was a open race rather than a weak race, I didn't think this filly was going to be in the first three or four? Well done Blue Stockings and what a compliment to Goliath who beat her well in the King George, although some are desperately trying to make it all about City Of Troy who beat her under completely different circumstances.
To be fair to bluestocking, she had everything in her favour today, ground and trip. Anyone who thinks this is a compliment to CoT need their head examining, she hated the ground over too short of a trip. CoT wouldn't of finished anywhere near her today.

Not a highly rated Arc tbh and top 4 led from start to finish with no backmarkers making any headway and btw, is it ever going to be sunny on an Arc day?? It always rains.
The Arc has often had glorious autumn weather, but not this year or 2022.
Weight for age and sex handicap run in an ‘alluvial plane’ ( bog). Name one winner that has become a G1 winning sire or dam. Not a single one.
Slow pace on heavy ground so not sure what some of the hold up jockeys were thinking but the winner was given a peach by Ryan.

What a overhyped race this is every year. The Melbourne Cup has 10 times the atmosphere and 10 times the race call every year. Europes biggest race puts me to sleep.

Only idiots would compare a completely different 10f race at a flat and super fast York track to a 12f muddy track at Longchamp, the conditions are so ridiculously different, not to mention the unfair 3yo weight advantage, which resulted in 3yos dorminated top spot at York, that race was BS and didn't prove anything
The one that was truly proven great is Goliath, who beat this girl while carrying the heaviest weight, and at a soft 12f hilly Ascot track, which was much closer to the Arc here, not that overrated CoT
@lhv2k another clown who refuses to see the light. All the form lines suggests that bar for the 2000 guinneas off day COT form is the top form last 2 yrs and fair play to them for taking the chance and taking him out of his comfort zone. Love them or not the Coolmore outfit Love a challenge. And don't take the no risks handy route.
