Thank you man. That #$#%% was driving me crazy. Wasn't sure if the whole song was done using an alt tuning or what was going on.
66607 Us I started learning it in Drop G, and the fact I had to go back to the 1st fret each time was driving me crazy! But I remembered Issues uses Drop G# a lot and also uses pitch shifter pedals! Haha

Dude thank you so much for that second verse explanation. I was driving myself nuts learning this song by ear seriously being positive on it being in drop G but kept seeing covers playing the open bottom string in drop Ab. Really clears my mind lol

Hey Jason! I use an amp simulator actually, not "real gear" haha! I use JST Toneforge Misha Mansoor for the guitars :)

Jason Parisi I know haha! I plug my guitar in an audio interface. Which is linked to my computer! The sound coming out of the guitar is all clean so I have to add affects to the guitar, it’s the cheapest solution to record this kind of thing I’d say! Cause recording with a real amp + cab + mic the whole thing would cost more than 150$ haha!

@@Xray.71 It depends on what you like and what you want to play in the future! I'd always recommand to get a cheap guitar first though, you know to try it out and see if you really want to be a guitarist haha!
Then invest in a good guitar for 500-800$! If you like these low tunings, get yourself a bariton guitar ( longer guitar neck, which handles low tunings easily ) or a 7 string!
But as I told you, you better start on a cheap guitar, learn some chords & easy classic songs! This first step could take months or even a year depending on how much you play :) I myself go an Ibanez grg170dx as my first guitar, it costs something like 150$ and I played on it for 4-5 years before being something else!
Nice job. Haven't checked the gp5 file to figure out the chords for the chorus starting @ 1:42. They sound like the chords Veil of Maya use in their songs. What are they?
And 2nd question. Did you change the pickups of your Schecter? I was thinking about buying the exact 7s guitar. A shop near me has it.

It's HRZON hey! RUclips can help a lot through the learning process! What will help you as a beginner is first to learn how to tune your guitar properly and then how to read tabs! Tabs will help you learn almost every song you like, and there’s a lot of good tutorials for that on RUclips too! If you need any advices considering I don’t know your level hit me up on Instagram I’d be glad to help 😀

whats crazy is AJ plays this on a 6 string! lol
Not crazy at all. Most cheaper 7 strings are 25.5" scale, which is the same as the standard 6 stringer. The amount of strings doesn't mean anything if the scale is the same.
With that in mind, he uses a baritone 6 string so that's actually better and easier to use than a 25.5" 7 string.
@@brettlockerhead i know its not actually crazy. i have a baritone prs SE277 that i tune to drop g#. However, so many people cover these Issues songs with 7 strings. i even seen people swear on their life AJ is using a 7 string and get extremely mad if you say its a 6 string calling it impossible lol. So i guess most people are just kinda thrown off by it to say the least! lol

Idk why but i can detect that something is "minutely-off" with your cover. I just cant put my finger on what it is. But Im not saying your cover is bad in any way. Its fantastic. Maybe im just nit picking. But Theres this guy called Ardumhigg in youtube who also did a cover and i think he nailed it to a tee.

Christian I didn’t use the highest string, and tune the other 6 string to drog G# as if I was playing on a 6 string guitar!
So G#-D#-G#-C#-F-A# ! :)
