@@crayzeegamer7695 Lol he only made his first tf2 video 7 years ago at a glance. And he made one a year ago so it hasn't been years. "But it sure feels like it!!! Gone are the tf2 glory days of this channel." But he uploads more then ever and is a full time content creator now and I like overwatch, Valorant, stream highlights and the best of all (even rivaling tf2 XD) Trouble in Terrorist Town.
@@Mahfireballs The point still stands that Phish's TF2 fans have basically been left out to dry these last couple years, with Phish making almost as many TF2 videos as the game has had updates in that time. It's great that his channel's growing, but it still hurts to only get a small taste of what we used to get regularly.
@@velstro Yeah I joined phish for tf2 and I always loved his tf2 content and I keep returning to tf2. It's one of 3 games or so I always return to if I don't really know what to play or only have 15 min to relax I just hop on tf2. And I still watch quite some tf2 content new and old on yt. But just look around to the old tf2 yt'ers and look where they are now. I mean ArraySeven recently returned, STAR_ uploaded explaining why he quit tf2, Lazypurple uploading irregularly. You got Uncle Dane who's been uploading 1-2 times a month, Ace the Ocarinamaker diversifying and I can't even remember the last time FUNKE uploaded a tf2 video. I mean that leaves Big Joey and Soundsmith and still quite some other SFM content creators making tf2 related memes or movies. And then some other newer or smaller tf2 content creators like Shounic which I only recently found. And others I don't know or can't remember at the moment. The point is tf2 launched in 2007 that's over 13 years ago and there has been so much love from the community for it for over a literal decade. But people move on especially if there is no money in it. As you only put effort into it if it has a return. Whether that’s cash, love, gratitude,… And change is nice and people got more than enough things to do they don't like for which they get no money in return. Yet they have to pay the bills at the end of the month so somethings have to go. So if you stop enjoying solely playing or creating content for a game over a decade old and you have a lot else to do and you aren’t getting a lot back for making time to these things. Then why keep on doing them, I mean if you have the choice between doing a job you like or a job you love. And the one you love is easier and less demanding, I mean is that really a choice? And if that job you prefer and is easier pays better then why in the world would you not change, I mean so many people take a less pleasant job for a raise. So I wanted to say that it’s rather unreasonable to demand or whine about phish not making enough tf2 content these days. (And that makes it sound Salty ever made enough tf2 content in his days. XD) As he was one of the big content creators for the game long after it was the hot new thing and he stuck with it for a long long time. As he liked it and there was a decent sized group of interested people as far as he was concerned. So yeah, you can say whatever you want, and you can whine about not enough of this or that content and there is nothing wrong with longing for tf2 content or whatever game or format. But “pestering” people about it for years even if they long since made up there mind and know of the demand is something else then dropping you miss a certain content or would love for something to return. Especially if this is a message repeated I don’t know how many times a day, every day for years on end. So yeah just wanted to say that, not that you where actually complaining. As you just said ~“it hurts” to see the contrast and that the amount of tf2 in the last (1-)2 years might equal the amount of tf2 updates which says a lot. And true if your job exist in making entertainment “for the masses” and so you are paid by that. It can be hard to judge at what point you are selling out, or staying loyal to you roots. What do you really own your old audience and how far do you have to go out of your way to give what they ask, how reasonable is it,… But anyway I think that time and stage has long past hence there is nothing wrong with wanting tf2 content or even asking. But there is no way you can demand it at least that’s how I see it. I know I went on for way, way to long. And I want a bit of topic (taking it a lot further then your comment) But now I have written it so I might as well post it. Have a good day.
My longest match of TF2 was actually on cp_Badlands... Full 32 player server with 5 engineers per team... It went for literally 5 and a half hours of the middle three points being capped by both teams repeatedly but nobody could ever get last... before I finally realized how long I'd been playing for and gave up and left.
This was very fun but I think it mostly made me happy someone as big as Phish is playing Rocket League, for someone who's been following it since beta, it makes me happy to see it have success finally after years

when they played tf2 he should have picked 2fort for at least an hour long stalemate
That or Hightower, though 2fort would've been the best pick.
