I like how they put just the emphasis on the weapons. They could water it down like that but for the short clip it should be about the weapons turned in.
It’s refreshing to see a true, solid competition where the winner didn’t win because the loser’s sword broke or the loser made some sort of critical error. Both turned out solid work, both made no critical errors, and the winner was determined by the details. That’s how it ideally should be.
@ChambersofSiege This "kid" (and I say that loosely because biologically he's a man.) Makes a better blade than 99% of this world's adult men could ever hope to achieve. He is exactly what this show needs. Also, you totally come off as a boomer.
9:58 when cade says 10 grand is college funds, he lets out the weirdest most evil laughter , making you think that the 10 grand are actually not going to go for "college funds".
They both did an amazing job! The castings were great! The dude that won deserved it. Everything about that blade and handle was gorgeous. Plus, he used a coal forge-we never see that. 😊
I generally try and pick who I want to win based on the character of the competitors. As it stands, these lads both seem really decent blokes, so its tricky
I love this show; it's actual sportsmanship. You always see the competitors respect each other and win/lose gracefully. This show survives off the strength of its concept and the showmanship of blades, not forced drama or 'who's the villain of the season'.
this is Forged in Fire at it's best, 2 Bladesmiths that made awesome swords and make it threw the 3 test to see what comes down to the tiniest thing to determine the winner
I always feel bad when they guy makes such a great sword that it would have won most of the other shows, but his competitor just goes ever so slightly better
If I was living in an era dominated by swords, I think this is the kinda sword I'd want. About the length of a cutlass, good strength, and great versatility. Practically a giant and slightly curved KA-BAR
For the strength test, we will be tapping into your blades in 10 places with a oil field diamond bit, send it back into the forge until it hits the steels melting point, then using your blade as a pry bar removing these tank treads to see how they hold up.
These guys that come in second place shouldn't feel bad or down on themselves in any way, shape, form or fashion. It's just not everyone that can do what they do. Metallurgy is almost a thing of the past. With most everything now a days being disposable, these men (and women) are keeping a craft alive and well!!! Kudos to all the people who take part in this!

Do dhulfiqar sword next
Do a Spear Just a recommendation
do the classic broad sword
How about a judges tournement?
They should put the historical background of the blades like in the full show, it’s very informative and entertaining
They do, it's just cut for RUclips
I like how they put just the emphasis on the weapons. They could water it down like that but for the short clip it should be about the weapons turned in.
You should go watch the full show then? These are snippets to gain attention
They just need 10 minutes of content for the big bucks.
@@notafraid551 that is what @Joozuji Saito said
finaly full test, no broken sword
Stalker i know right?!
That rarely happens
It's because neither tried to rush a Damascus build
I was worried Kade's might bend based on how dark the last few inches of his blade were when he quenched it.
Yes

When doug says "Alright lets talk about your weapon" it gives me parent teacher conference anxiety
Lololol
Cade really did forge a great sword... one of the best ones I've seen be presented in the show.
True. Although, he made a chicken head instead of the required rooster.
PETA loves this show.
who else do you think provide them with all these carcasses ??

Forged in fire in a nutshell:

“Okay so it isn’t very sharp anymore...”
I always root for the coal forge guys
yeah right, that's so medieval vibe
Yeah. If nothing else you have to respect their choice (or in some cases only option) of forge.
Traditional isn't always the best but it's usually respectable. Unless they're outdated bigots, then it's not so fun.
It's not in every episode that we can see some marvelous bladesmithing, this one is so far one of the best.

That Cade got more talent than those 40 year old smiths on the show.

I really like that winning sword, very nice piece. Excellent work on the casting.
Hey! look at that. No Damascus and both blades made it all the way through in great shape. Great work on the smiths end!

They both did an amazing job! The castings were great! The dude that won deserved it. Everything about that blade and handle was gorgeous. Plus, he used a coal forge-we never see that. 😊
I agree, we very seldom see people using a coal forge.
From how Doug swings the blades in keeel test we can easily see which blade is heavier.
This is the best episode ever in Forged in 🔥.
Hi Aman! We’re glad you enjoyed the clip! Thanks for being a #ForgedInFire fan!
Excellent job to both of them, they deserve the close battle.

They are really doing hard work for that blade

Honestly I thought the guy who won was gonna lose when I saw his quench. It looked a little cold towards the tang but that didn't cause any problems.
Love this show !!! Really good competition, both great blade smiths but in the end there is only one winner.

Doug: your sword is heavy.
Me: well he just lost.
Yeah most if the time the heavier weapon tends to lose. You can only hope the other blade breaks.
Lovely. Both the opponents had a strong blade.
Finally we see all 3 tests and no one's blade broke
Out of all the videos I’ve watched on fif I think this is the first time that they have said there is no damage to the blade during the strength test
Can I say that the judges know their way around using the swords?! Like, not perfect technique but really impressive!
They do realize people’s hands are different sizes
