I am glad they are pushing the early access back to give time to improve and add more features
I don't think "older generation" means Gen Z. The youngest Gen X (and obviously Millennials) also grew up on simulation games and we're mid-40s. (As opposed to Boomers who did not.) I think the world looks amazing and I'm hoping to switch from Sims 4. This will depend on them making it available for Macs though. I wonder what goals they might add though.
At the moment, this game does not look good unfortunately. ☹️
There so many details I'm excited about, but the best thing for me is that LBY gives us their dev tools as ingame modding tools.
I'm not a modder, but I love customizing my playing experience when it's easy enough, making the game to "my own".
There's one thing which you got pretty wrong. The world isn't supposed to feel "fun, quaint and cute".
It's gonna be realistic, somewhat humorless, and for adults... and I'm totally in the target group for that. I hope LBY is the game which will convince the gamers that life sims can be pretty serious and respectable games
You think you are an older generation ... i'm between gen x and millennial. I only just turned 40...
The empty worlds do sort of bother me. And i doubt all but the best PCs will be able to run a full town.
I think they delay too sets them apart from EA too, which seems like even when packs aren't ready (such as Wedding Stories) they are still beholden to the schedule.
i mean, the game is still being developed... And if it's well coded why should regular computers struggle with a town? It's not getting rendered. CPUs are way better than what they were back in Sims 3 times.
I also turned 40 last month and I'm a little insulted if they really think the fashion and interior decor they've put on display appeals to our generation. When i watched that recent livestream, he straight up dressed his character like my grandma dressed in the 90s. I just know there was a thick elastic waist band on those slacks and she ordered them from a catalogue that came in the mail.
It looks so outdated and emotionless... 😬

@@ember9361 Doubt they're gonna change the graphics since they said the current look is what they were aiming for. And about the emotions... I think that would take a lot more time to implement into the game and the release date is too soon for that to change. But hey I'm still hoping for a decent game that won't be forgotten in a week so 🤞
@@JustVizzing they’re not going to change the entire aesthetic of it in so little time. pre-access is to fix little bugs, not change the entire design
It just looks so ugly and dated. I want to be hyped for it, but I can't get over that part.
