Yeah, me too. Although I always considered approaching it from the valley and not from Tenaya Lake. Roper's guide listed it as 9.8 but the vague route description implies that the difficulty is in route finding. Whatever the route was in Ropers, it didn't include any bolts.
the basin you're walking in at 1:30 has an epic natural slide when water is running. saw some dude slide like 300ft on an inflatable alligator. good times in tuolumne
Spectacular! Nice vid. (Can’t believe you did all that hiking with no backpack, though! I hate wearing a harness with gear on it for hiking, but that’s just me!) 😄
@@nathanfair9491 Thanks for the info I greatly appreciate it!!! Im new to climbing and looking for anything and everything to expand my level of experience.
@@robertnewell4054 really? not even on El Cap or Half Dome? I don't have any experience climbing in Yosemite, just backpacking which you need permits for everything.

Simuling yosemite 5.10 in approach shoes. Respect

Commenting to say that I LOVE your channel and love that you've got footage of this climb. Will watch after I've gotten that sick onsight.

Yes so much fun. The hardest part is figuring out where to go and all that hiking!
How much gear did you need. Quick draws and nuts, cams?
free solo the first pitch? dang dude.
Im assuming you needed climbing permits to climb this? also, what gear did you take with you to climb this?

Climbing Permits aren’t required in YNP.

How much water you guys takin for a day like this?
We took 6 liters with electrolytes and that wasn't quite enough. Probably want 8 liters for a full day mission in the summer
6 liters each or shared?
@@Govanification shared. we were definitely thirsty haha
