Fascinating to see how the animation has improved and also how the animation *style* has changed. Style changes I've spotted: - No deformation of the individual body parts, instead having them (mostly) swiveling from their joints. - Change in rendering... something (not a 3D rendering expert). The reflectivity and such is noticeably altered, generally to be more flat. (I also wanna say there's a rim lighting change?) - Facial expressions are entirely 2D, with the eyes being lit regardless of local lighting (similar to modern Dreamworks films) - Beveled edges on all characters. - Textures of blocks are changed to be simpler, similar to official Minecraft renders. Excellent work all around!
4:50 That background villager shotgun bazuka sound lining up with the music and the lyrics to create a (what i think is not very knowledgable on music) a beat is one of the most creative and oddly amazing sounding things I've seen people do in recent times Love that this series is still going on lol
I just realised how detailed this video is, because at 4:52 a green villager is stealing the bell from the village and at 6:29 the same villager is clicking the bell in the studio. I would also like to remind you, that you should do the same thing too. It helps way more than you could ever imagine.
I don't think it's intentional because the mustache is also seetrough, but it's really cool if it is (also it's only the white of one of the eyes having the effect, not the green part)

4:36 "Is this really something to condemn?" "Oooh i see, you're one of them!" - "Get him!" "Ah, wait! Don't I get a lawyer?" "I'm just a simple seed enjoyer..." Some fire lines and delivery that I've listened to way too many times than I'd like to admit 😅👌
Problem at 3:49! In the 3rd cell, for a second we see bees before they get erased four frames before the trapdoors open and release the actual bees (paired with the yellow lights and villager yelling)
A few more errors I found! 2:14 houses a very goofy lookin lever. At 2:15, villager #5's eye whites disappear oddly in the TV monitor. I thought it was intentional for a second but then realized that if it was, then villager #5's pupils should be green screened into the background, not his eye whites. (just realized @gamingwithblueboy4563 found it before me, oop) In the background of 2:38, there appears to be a door and a torch on a tree??? Might just be a background detail though. There are two villagers with two eyebrows at around 4:53 in the background (one got shot out of the first shotgun, the other one was shot out of the second shotgun). On that note, I love how one of the villagers that gets launched out of the gun just flies into orbit lol. At 4:55, two black squares randomly appear on one of the villager's faces for a single frame. This happens again to another villager at 4:57. The villager's head clips out of the window for a single frame at 5:20 before the window breaks. At 6:03, the smoke particles in the background randomly snap upwards a little bit. It's fun to see some of the goofy errors in these videos lol. Obviously, I don't blame them at all for missing these errors, since I understand that 3D animation can be very difficult and wonky (and most of these errors are really nitpicky lol). Besides, all the other fun background details like the orbiting balloon at 5:53 more than make up for it.
I just wish the first two actual lines rhymed a bit closer, like: “We’re the only news source you can trust, So tune in now and listen to us” always loved the da da da da intro, awesome to hear it embiggened

So glad to see this! I first watched Villager News when I was 5, literally in the year that the first episode came out! And now seeing this around 11 years later is so amazing! This is giving me dump loads of nostalgia!

ANIMATION ERROR: 3:50 You can see the bees pop in and jolt out before the trapdoors open letting them out. Theres another one where when, Villager #5 is Standing in the Weather Green screen his white part of his eyes are invisible. This is not meant to be taken as hostile. Just feedback. If Element animation ever do a find the errors thing again, some that I noticed: 3:50 the left box has bees come out too early then they disappear and come back 4:56 guy with the villager launcher, his face turns black when the camera leaves him

That's an animation error. The pupils show up just fine. It's the whites of their eyes that don't show up for some reason.

ANIMATION ERROR: 3:50 You can see the bees pop in and jolt out before the trapdoors open letting them out.
Theres another one where when, Villager #5 is Standing in the Weather Green screen his white part of his eyes are invisible.

If Element animation ever do a find the errors thing again, some that I noticed:

4:56 guy with the villager launcher, his face turns black when the camera leaves him
2:14 on the camera screen his eye seems to be clipping with the map

@@joelpetersmedia If you watch closely, the whites of his eyes turn map-coloured (which green screens don't do) and also turn back normal coloured when he shifts his position slightly to be further from the map (thus no longer clipping). So no, not intentional
