Thats a great review Scott and a very interresting litte calibrator. It has a really nice display. I used them back in the day for setting up currently loop inputs on PLCs but really quite a special requirement. Not something I would likely use but smashing review thanks for sharing.
Another cool video buddy. The fact it hung with Ian's unit shows it is quite accurate. Something similar to the DMMcheck thing I have except this one has a few more features.
Yep, Dave is good value, he is a nice guy ! I wasn't expecting the mailbag to be so soon, I only sent the cable to him a week or so ago, so I'm not as close to 10K as I thought I would be when he published the video, but because of his mention it has increased quite nicely.
I would not call this a calibrator, I often repair calibrators (my job) This is more a handy source to use while trouble shooting industrial gear. I have an old process calibrator that is probably out of call (calibrating it costs a lot more as mr.Signal costs :-) but I can do that myself if needed ). but I use it only for trouble shooting and for that it is close enough. If some controller f.i. needs a 4-20mA current or to check if a temperature meter works again by emulating a pt100 etc . They have kelvin connections for things like a pt100 and special contacts for thermo-couples Then it goes back to the owner and if necessary to a certified cal lab. RTD is resistive temperatuur device like a pt100
Thanks for the Paul Hardcastle interlude! I thought I was the only person in the world that had to start "singing" that song every time I hear the number nineteen, so that gave me a nice chuckle. Also, I'm a US viewer that listens to you at 1.5x speed and I don't have a problem understanding you at all, so I'd say go ahead and keep talking in your "UK English accent"... What's next, am I going to find out that the late Steven Irwin was from Croydon? OTOH, maybe you do sound pretty much like @IanScottJohnston...
I received it from Amazon and seller KY Hope, total disappointment. The key "function" was not working and thus impossible to use. They forgot to solder the key on the board.
@@TheDefpom no. Just got it today. The smd button was not soldered at all. Actually sending it back to US from Europe is also bit annoying. Was thinking to get one similar button and try to solder it on the board otherwise will send it back to the seller.
Left the video because it is too long and boring
Or you have a short attention span and impatient.
You should have done it quietly - and go back to do home work, or you’ll get in trouble with your parents.

Is it a HART receiver (input) as well as a HART transmitter (output)? So is it possible to read and also sent HART signals?
Nice to get a mention on Dave's eevblog mailbag. Looks like you will beat these 10k subscribers pretty soon! :)

Does it source and sink current? Also, to test current source mode hook it up directly to you Siglent dmm in mA mode.

Is it working now you fixed the button?

Muito bom! Poderia fazer um vídeo usando o HART?
The only promble with banggood is that it takes forever to receive your product from china.
