thanks for this video, the woovebox is powerful for the form factor but will take time to learn. Definitely have to sit down and really practice the different combinations but im happy with it so far and it blows everything out of the water in this size, been waiting for a product with this size and capability forever.
So the sampling itself seems straightforward but getting to use them afterward seems like it’s going to take some getting used to. Thanks for getting this out there. I’ll probably be watching it a few more times once I finally get through the wait to get one.
While it's not as fast as say, a Smpltrek, it's not bad once you've done it a few times. I will a do follow up video on how to chop a chord loop and cover the rest of the 'per slice' parameters.
Thank you love the video. One note. You nervously or just habit, wave your thumbs over the keypad while talking and we can’t tell if you pushing a button or not. It’s just a visual thing I think. Like you’re articulating your talking with thumb movements but problem is the keypad is so small we can’t tell what’s happening under your thumbs. Are you pushing buttons? In any case I had to keep rewinding to see if you were pushing buttons. Still very helpful videos. Thank you
Hey, thanks for the feedback, I'll try to tone that down haha.. In the meantime you can see exactly what I do on the overlay on the top right of the screen.
Hey man and thanks for your excellent videos on this unit :) Having some issues on my side here uploading sample kits using wooveconnect / BLE. (Using windows 11 so that might be the cause). When uploading > than 1 sample at the time only one slot (the next available) will be populated. Have you encountered similar issues? Also dumping/exporting kits only results in the SYSEX file being transmitted (I believe it should be wav-file(s)). The BLE connection using wooveconnect is the only option for this as far as I am aware?
You could also sample directly into the unit using the line in jack. Not sure about the kit transfer using sysex, apologies. If understand correctly, 1 sample at a time sounds like normal behavior to me. I've only tried uploading 1 sample at a time through Wooveconnect though I'm not sure. You might want to post on Reddit or email the creator.
Hey, this video is really cool thank you. Have you noticed any problems on the latest firmware when sampling? I'm having an impossible time getting the sample to trim to the beginning of the audio when using the St.F command- it always jumps way fast the initial transient of the drum loops I'm trying to sample! basically impossible to sample a drum loop. I get the same issue when transferring samples over midi bluetooth.
I've only sampled drums and notes and haven't experienced this but I am planning to make a video on sampling a chord progression so I might run into that then. In the meantime you could reach out to the support email on the website, the creator is very helpful.
@@Wooveboxing hey, yeah I contacted Ivo about the issue. Apparently it's more noticeable on longer samples. I was sampling in some cases 4 bar loops. Anyway, he found the problem and already sent me a firmware update which totally fixes the issue. I expect the new firmware is gonna be available soon, if not already in wooveconnect. Very happy with the update.
Great video again -I have my kit sampled but when I use it in some tracks all samples play but on some other tracks only the first sample plays and it’s chromatic?
Finally someone explains the sampler!!! 😅 thank you wooveboxing!!! 🙏🏼
Brilliant! Crystal clear. THanks a lot

Yea it's amazing, and the more I use it, the more I find interesting ways to do things. There is a LOT there for sure.

Excellent work thanks for the detailed tutorial
Thank you! I will do a part 2 with advanced options in the future.
@@Wooveboxingplease, we need a second part with longer samples and with fx like reverb, delay, chorus… Congrats for your awesome channel!.
@@Synuk Thank you :) I do need to make a follow up video on sampling!
I think you can set the the track type to Smpk (sample kit) and init your patch. Then you shouldn't need to transpose down
Right on, thank you!

The woovebox was ready to go!
It was 😂!

oh this is gonna be siiiiiick. cant wait to have the entire pocket operator office in my woovebox, lmao
Would be cool to see a full walkthrough of a track composed of mostly samples.
Great idea!
Curious about slicing. So basically you sample a 4 chords loop. And you wanna chop them into slices.
Good suggestion, I will make a video on that in the future!
@@Wooveboxing oh man I can hardly wait for them to be back in stock.

@@philmuchbetter That's awesome, thanks for letting us know!
So basically if you hook up a Launchkey Mini MK3, you have a nifty setup.
It would be amazing!
@@azieser yeah. The thing is you’d need a BT midi adapter. I looked in the manual and Woovebox only has BT Midi.
@alecsbuga is correct, midi IN is Bluetooth only. I don't have a Bluetooth adapter to test this yet but I'll get one sooner or later.
@@Wooveboxing curious if that midi IN jack can be remapped from firmware…
