    Nice vid. Any tips on shipping premium/car culture carded hot wheels? or same tactic as mainlines and stack them on top of each other?

    • @HonestDiecast
      @HonestDiecast  4 года назад +1

      Thank you! And I have shipped a stack of real riders like the mainlines in the vid, BUT I prefer to ship them in a factory real rider case box or individual protectors (cardboard or plastic). I hope this helps!

    What protectors do you recommend to keep the card in good shape? I’ve mentioned Sterling before, but I’ve noticed the bottom left corner of the card becomes split open a bit… maybe I didn’t close that right or something. Do you have the same issue and would you recommend a brand like melyon?

    • @HonestDiecast
      @HonestDiecast  Год назад

      I would definitely recommend Sterling as the best protectors on the market. A tad bit of gap at the bend point is to be expected. 👊😁👍

    Thank you for that info, question if you had to mailed one car only what package is best .. box with bubbles and cardboard or a envelope that is bubbles inside? Also cost why?

    • @HonestDiecast
      @HonestDiecast  2 года назад +1

      Hey there Rabbit! Id never recommend mailing any carded HotWheel in any type of envelope, ALWAYS a box! Im not sure if you have an RLC account, but the boxes Mattel uses for RLC cars is good if the car is put in a protector. I would always still use bubblewrap as well! 😁👍

      Ok that sounds great, I had one eBay seller mailed me a HW car I been looking for in a envelope and I was lucky no damage. However after looking at this video.. u just help me to improve my status thx u . Now any advice in what shipping fee to set up on eBay for one or two cars to mailed out to a customer? When I set up my list and on the shipping option for eBay it’s all the time default to lbs as the weight? I know one car or even two on my scale comes up maybe 3 oz. But what’s the shipping fee I should put? Thx u for any helpful feedback or advice.. h wish you Happy New Year 2022

      Happy to help, Rabbit! As far as shipping fees I wouldn't be the best to ask for that. I don't use any shipping program or anything since I do not ship out in mass. Im in AZ and I find if I send 1 mainline car to the east coast it usually costs me about $5-$6 first class with the hiked shipping rates. Maybe $1-$2 more with 2 cars.
      I think maybe the best policy would be to set the price of the car, factor in worst case shipping cost and add a dollar or two, set that total price as the price of the car and list as free shipping to the Con US. So for instance, I want to sell a car on ebay for $3 and Im guesstimating $6 for shipping. Add $1 and Ill post the car for $10 Free Shipping in the Con US. Make sense? Might not be the best way but thats what I would probably do. 😁👍

      @@rabbitazaan6564 package up on vehicle and take it in to get an idea of cost. Pack it like you'd ship it. Ask them about sending the cheapest way without it getting damaged. Packing material adds to weight. Check your scale against theirs for differences. A few ounces off can cost you more. Ask questions of them because shipping costs are changing and we on here could be wrong on cost.

    Where you get the box from

    • @HonestDiecast
      @HonestDiecast  Год назад +1

      You can use many Mattel boxes to ship, like the RLC car boxes you get (if you're sending 1 or 2 cars). You can use the 12ct Ultra Hot cases, 10ct premium cases, etc.... They are some of the best boxes to store and ship.
      Outside of that Grainger and Staples carry some great shipping boxes as well for very cheap.

    Hello man, your channel got linked to me because I have to ship a loose car to Canada and there are a LOT of things that I don't know.
    The main problems are that I'm from Italy, and I have no idea how shipping overseas works, what info should I put for having a successful shipping and how to ship the object in a way that keeps it safe and most importantly found, because some dude working at the post office told me that apparently there is a chance that the product may be lost during travel
    The lose car is an original boneshaker (so it's probably even more delicate due to the wheels being exposed)
    Any help or advice you could give to me?

    • @sostrucking
      @sostrucking 2 года назад +1

      I'd go to your local shipping office and ask them. Rules can be tricky and costly. I haven't shipped overseas yet

    • @HonestDiecast
      @HonestDiecast  2 года назад

      Skyline, just make sure to get the address exactly as it should be from the person you're selling or trading with. If the cars are loose, you can wrap them in bubblewrap and tape them OR you can put them back in an original card and blister then put it in a protector. Also be prepared to fill out customs documents. Hope this helps! 👊😁👍

    how about the cost to ship, while i agree with how to protect the item, how do you save on Cost of shipping?

      Thats a great point but difficult to pinpoint since everyone has jacked shipping rates up due to covid. 🤔😖

    • @skully6223

      Yes....I'm curious as well about the shipping. I see most sellers charging 2.O0 for shipping and the car cost is 5.00. And I'm thinking where is the profit? If you pay 1.00 for the car...shipping at minimum is roughly 3.70ish. By the time you calculate ebay fees, cost for what you're shipping it in & time, energy, effort packing it, you're giving away the car, not profiting at all. Ppl forget to calculate boxes, tissue paper, bubble wrap, tape...then timing..and/or if you're dropping it at the p.o. yourself. While this sounds really petty concerning time, IT IS your time...which you should be getting paid for, even if it's miniscule!!! So I'm not getting how anyone is making any money doing it this way.

      I understand Dee, I guess its up to the seller/trader to determine. If anyone is talking about coming out on top or making money, this probably isn't the best channel for that. 😁👍
