Interesting that, although this ship brought us Lafayette, & became a big part of our early history, the fate of her sister ship, La Concorde, the plans from which she was rebuilt, wound up the anti-thesis of her sister. La Concorde, a French slaver, was captured by Blackbeard, had more cannons added, & renamed, " Queen Anne's Revenge". It is now being salvaged off the Carolinas, having run aground in Roanoke inlet. Blackbeard was beheaded by a British lieutenant onboard her.

Not at all i don't know where you found that but it's completely false La Concorde was a warship he help in few naval battle in the independance war for us but the most of time he was just transporting soldier from france to USA. The 15 February 1783 he was captured by the royal navy. And just Blackbeard die in 1718 how he can capture La Concorde build in 1777 ?

Confusion: The Queen Anne's Revenge was previously called Concord. It was likely built in 1710 in Bristol was later captured by the French who renamed it ''La Concorde de Nantes'' & used it as a merchant vessel. That ship was captured by Black Beard in 1717 who equipped it with cannons & used it as a Pirate ship for a little less than 1 year. This ship sunk near North Carolina's coast, after Black Beard ran it ashore.
Le Concorde, built in Rochefort, France in 1777 was a warship from the start & it served in the French Royal Navy during the American War of Independence. It was lost to the British Navy & became the HMS Concord. Tit-for-tat retribution or Karma? Lol! It was never re-captured, went-on to become a stellar weapon used against the French. It finished its days in a British shipyard for recuperation in 1811.
In any case, these were 2 different Frigates. Concorde/Concord was a class of frigates, hence the name being thrown around a lot, in both English/French, at the time.
