absolutely brilliant! thank you very much for sharing. just saved me quite a few bucks and gave me a new quick project...with materials i actuallly already have too! ha thanks again!
This is a basic setup. It wouldn’t take much to adjust the angle by just screwing the eyebolt in or out. It looks like he’s using a cheap diamond file. While this wouldn’t be my go to, it would be useful to take on a road trip or camping. Light, compact, easy to make and you’re not gonna cry if you leave it behind.
Will only work if the blade is magnetic and a softer metal. Also there is a lot of variation in angle since the eye diameter of the screw is wider than the diameter of the file shaft which will lead to poorer results.
Among many fancy jigs yours is the best in terms of simplicity and minimalist approach. Great work. Looking forward to more ideas.

Good job, Jony - You might even make Lansky consider a price drop on their products, after they see this!!
Wow! Brilliant
Yes this a good video ! It something useful !
This is pure genius 👍
what is this diamond stick thing? and how did you measure the angles? I think those are very key factors...

Чудова робота та ідея!
Very well. Thank you.
Making one. 🤩
Angle will vary based on width of blade. Most knives are sharpened at 20 degrees.
Some dimesions would make it easier to copy.

You are using the file incorrectly
Fucking legend!!
I appreciate my fingers ( and my files) too much to risk them with such a poor contraption.
