    Another Gem, thx for sharing. I’ve got a couple Miner capes in my collection and this helps justify the price tag.

    The British were producing genetic cock hackles in the 1890s. Dr Willian Baigent of Northallerton provided genetically breed roosters to Preston Jennings, who later gave the roosters to Harry Darbee.

      No kidding? I did a fair amount of research on genetic cackle and never came across that so I appreciate your input. I will have to look into it now that I have specific names. Thank you.

    Interesting. I thought whiteing had been around longer. The old timers didn't have nearwhats available now days.
