HI, I live in india and i am an artist, I am facinated by sumi e, its like a magical dream dance, i recently acquired my sumi e brush ink and stone... and i want to learn it, i would welcome all the help i can get.. i learned some by looking at your video and would appritiate if you can direct me how to develop my skills, thank you!!!
Great, I really like your video. I wish you would talk during the video if you can and explain what is going on. It is easier to learn when eyes and ears are used, and it helps me to understand what I see.
Beautifully done
Would like to see how to upload the brush
Is this Sumie ink prepared in a Suzuri
What kind of rice paper is used
Thanks
yes, prepare in suzuri (ink stone). This is just a rice paper :)
Please master, one with butterflies and bugs
Really good, I dont think my other coment posted, any hoo really good. Sorry it took so long for me to come by and see.
Hi. Is it usual to have the brushtip pointed at an angle that way? It's very interesting and the results are great. What is the name of the company where you got that brush? Good brushes are so hard to find. Thanks! Keep posting basic lessons, please! : )
I agree with Sherri....your videos ARE relaxing to watch.....I wonder, what do you do with your paintings when you finish them? Do you display them, do you put them in a box somewhere, or do you sell them?
Kazu, do you, by any chance, happen to know the botanical name for this orchid??
What a shame....I hate thinking of art disappearing into a box (although take a guess as to where mine usually ends up...^_^) How much do you usually sell your paintings for?
