You guys are terrible reacters. Never EVER react to a musical theatre video and say what’s wrong with her face. About the mic? Like please don’t say that. It is so rude that u talk about her face. Just stop. She literally is one of the greatest singers on Broadway rn. You need to stop.
Your reaction speaks you have no idea about broadway and musical theatre. Actors in theatre productions are always over-expressive so the audience can see everything that happens including facial expressions.
Nienke Galis IKR.. you have to act for that single person that is sitting at the back of the theater, or so the saying goes. This is a broadway show first and foremost, this acting is not meant to be recorded on film.
This is the best singer to sing this song!!!!!!!!!!!!! She has more control and amazing technique, and sounds better then anyone else who sings this song. This isn’t her best performance of let it go, the Tonys performance was better, and when I saw her it was amazing ♥️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️
nah u need to see ciara renée, shes much more better then her. and the fact that u said that shes the “best” singer to sing this song when thee idina menzel was the og and the best of all the best
Bruhhhhh, I think it's actually pretty interesting how you pointed out her facial expressions! There's actually a super neat explanation for why her face is moving that way! It's actually a mixture of how stage makeup is done, plus the fact that musical theatre performers are taught to make their expressions more dramatic (the makeup is also done the way it is for that reason) because the stage lights drown out the performers' features, especially when you're seeing a show live. It's also probably because of how musical theatre singing requires people to open their mouths super wide when singing because it helps push out notes. Also, yo, I get where you're coming from about her swag, but whatchu gotta understand that a big chunk of that has to do with that thick-ass costume she's got on! Also stage-lights are suuuper hot. Especially with as many as there are in that number! Like, daaaaaamn!!! Also ye, the thing on her forehead is a mic. I actually don't know why broadway mics are usually put on the actors' foreheads, but I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the fact that putting them in clothes muffles them and cuz using the headpiece-type ones that go on one side of the face tends to get in the way of a lotta stuff and gets reeeaaaally inconvenient for a costume changes and shit. They're also kinda clunky. Anyways, sorry about the long comment. I just decided that I'd let y'all know about some of the cool shit I know about this type of thing, because why not?
I was cringing the entire time, and the reason they hang the mikes that way is because first of all, you usually can't see it and everyone in musical theatre is always told that they shouldn't need a mike, and should be loud enough no matter what. Your sound doesn't travel up but a mike like 6 inches away from ur mouth will definitely pick up sound.
this performance was a special performance of frozen the musical for The View. The whole audience of the view was brought to the theatre of frozen the musical.
Watching this made me feel many emotions. When you said what is wrong with her face it made me literally want to punch the screen. The thing on her face is a mic. Please do your research before reacting to something.
Placing your voice nasally is actually safer in broadway singing, acting and dancing 8 times a week is tasking to the body and the voice. they literally do this everyday of the week..... And stage makeup and lighting is different from normal lighting
Yall need to watch more live theatre or literally ANY form of musical theatre. Your reaction to the performance was pretty ignorant. "Swag" isnt a thing in musical theatre unless its written into a characters motive in a script. Please watch more live musical theatre. Just because she isnt a celebrity or pop star she is a paid broadway actor, this is her day to day job, performing infront of thousands every week in new york city.
this is a real representation of how non knowing musical theater and singing people react to theater. you were talking about her face lol. listen to her voice
Do you not know the story from Frozen? No, do YOU not know the story of Frozen? 1. She's not frowning because it's cold, Elsa's not affected by it, 2. Elsa ran away from her kingdom because she accidentally revealed her powers, she wasn't banished.
If you guys have no idea what musical theatre is don't react to it. 1) the thing on her head is her mic any person with some knowledge would know that already. 2) her face did that because thats what she needs to do in order for the note not to fall flat or sound nasally. & 3) if you have ever watched frozen you know that the beginning of the song is in a low key. So obviously it sounds low. This is the most ridiculous reaction I have ever seen. Don't be rude to someone who has much more talent then you guys will ever have! Smh the audacity!
Guys u probably don’t have any idea of a musical theater productions. Her face expresions are like that cause if you are a theater actor you need to make it big so the whole crowd can see your facial expresions and the thing on her head is a mic. Your reactions is so rude. She was one of the greatest theater performer in broadway. You should do some research before you react.
Christopher Lee This is absolutely incorrect. Performers try to avoid singing nasally as it's not a sound vocal trainers care much for... but ultimately it's a style, so to speak. Most people actually automatically sing a bit nasally but if you learn young or listen to particular singers, you're less likely to sing this way. Not to mention you can train yourself out of having the nasal sound. But everyone's voice is different. I know someone who had an issue with his nose that made him speak nasally. He just had surgery done and now the obstruction is gone.
So, this review was right-off-the-bat dismissive and uneducated. Not expecting y’all to be Broadway junkies, but at least do an ounce’s worth of research before recording-and have some respect. I am not even a Frozen fan, but I am a musical theatre fan. This performer had to stand mostly center-stage because it had a lot to do with the placement of lights. Kind of laughable that the female reactor tried to undermine this with her own experience with a “light show,” most likely with a widely accessible projector. Ps, 7:23 No. This is when reactors would usually do a quick search and edit that in. The View gave the audience a sneak peak into the show. The show went to a Broadway stage.
Sheesh, I'm sorry about the petty comments you're getting. I mean, I disagree with y'all here but there's a way to reply without being a snob. So on that note.... Interestingly enough, the original singer (Menzel) is well known for her nasal-quality. Here, Cassie is clearly just struggling with her lower register. I personally didn't hear a nasal sound, but she undoubtedly changed her placement to sing some of that first verse. Doing this is obviously fine and absolutely necessary! Cassie is normally a belter/mixer I believe. (I'm going off memory of her "Hair" and concert performances some years ago.) I think she hit the notes well, but she's definitely more focused on said notes and less focused on overall delivery. I'd love to see this again in the future when her range has developed and the notes aren't such a worry. Someone in the comments brought up her costume restricting her movement - I'd have to agree. Stage performers have to constantly battle this. Heck, I did a community theatre production where I applied a quirk to my character to make my version~ of our choreography look normal, all due to a restricting jacket. lol To your comment about her poses: they are very common in musical theatre. They're meant to display a big emotion (to everyone watching from different angles in the theater), yet look somewhat normal, AND not get in the way of singing. Yes, it ultimately looks stiff. Thankfully, Broadway performers have something most others do not - the ability to display emotion through their vocal delivery and the composition of the song itself. With that said, the latter is actually where I think most of the faults lie. (but I'm not gonna get into that here...)
I’m surprised they don’t know how they “hide” lapel mics in theater,... nor theater acting or singing like when he said she was acting the character of Elsa in a weird way while singing let it go...still like both of em because they were honest. ovela was right that it sounds flat compared to the movie version because this is arranged in a lower key to be appropriate for someone who is singing Let it Go and acting 8x a week... I have seen Frozen in bway. It was good from staging to acting.
Maybe don't react to a medium without actually knowing anything about it first. This video reflects so badly on you and nothing else. Interesting that for a music channel, you have no idea about music or even the basics of sound and how a microphone works. This is so cringeworthy.
The nasel, called twang (it wasn't that much though in the beginning) they performe like 8 times a week, they have this technique because other wise they end up having a vocal damage. Not confident.. bruh
Both of you did not know about theatre. Caissie Levy is a great Broadway actress. Not singer. Please do some research before you commented on something.
She has to have big expressions to convey what she is feeling. The audience was actually told to react crazy because they where recording. I hate to be rude, but you really know nothing about musical theater!
I don't usually comment on things like this but my lord this is the most ignorant reaction I have ever seen... they literally spent two minutes discussing a head mic then got confused cuz hey thought this was in a daytime television show...... "i wish i had powers" - read a book....
You clearly don’t know anything about theatre mics yes you were right about the hair thing but putting mics on costumes is only a tv talk show thing mics are normally on your face held on by your ears
I surely don’t mean to offend you, especially the young lady, but I have to wonder whether you’ve been to the theater before? Maybe googling the story might be a reasonable idea before watching ANY video in the future, especially show tunes and opera....so you know what they’re singing before judging them. Dear Frozen cast and crew, I went to see frozen for my birthday back in April and ❄️ it was magical I love the new songs and sang to all songs I love. Last time A musical and show got me this emotional and affect my life was when I saw The lion king, wicked and Lady Gaga monster ball tour (I love they compare Cassie performance of “Let It Go” to Lady Gaga, it so true). I don’t know why but by some how this show/ music help me with with I was down at work not just didn’t felt confident in myself that day. So thank you. I Love the show much I saw again two more times this past summer and saw you guys at Bryant Park (thanks for guys for taking a selfish with me). Frozen and the “Let It Go” was my inspiration of my new tattoo I got this past summer off to fav Disney movies/broadways The Lion King and Frozen by half my tattoo is the sun and say “Hakuna Matata“ and the another half a snowflake saying “Let It Go” The performance by Cassie Levy of Monster and let it go, empower me and boost my confidence at work also help with my depression and anxiety. I just sing/listen to those songs at work, in car, the shower and the gym, believe it or not those sing are great warm up and workout songs. And I feel free, relief, confidant again thank you. Also I want thank Patti Murin for sharing your story and let me know it’s ok be my corky weird self. And when you are having a bad day just breath and make sure to take care of yourself. Also for stopping the stigma of mental health. For someone that deal with depression and anxiety every Jelani Alladin thanks for showing society that any one can play at character no matter your Black, White, Asian, Latin etc. And really think you play amazing Kristoff your so talented and vocals your are so smooth especially when you sing Kristoff lullaby. And favorite line in the show is when you say “I left a lot ice” in what do you know about love, so sexy. Also love how positive you are and every time I watch your Instagram story it make me laugh and my day. Also want congrats you for frozen being your broadway debut. Lastly I like give a shout-out to the whole cast and crew, the special effects were amazing. Also What do you know about love was so funny and another one of my favorite new songs and scenes in the show. I love Patti and Jelani as Anna and Kristoff so better than the movie. Also really love how the musical was more for adults and really show more into Elsa character too. But still keep it to message on story of love wins and empowering women. Can’t to go see for the 4th time
You guys are an embarrassment. For a guy that has sound engineering training you have no knowledge of mics or stage work. You called her stiff etc but she’s supposed to be. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 100% agree with you
really cool! what show?
It's obvious you don't know basically anything about theatre. ;)
True...whenever MGN react to theatre performance they show how innocent they are about music in general...hahaha
I noticed that too.. probably they would not recognize the amzing talents of broadway performers who performs 8x a week
I wonder how they would react to Hamilton... sadly , there are no full clips in YT, oh well
Your reaction speaks you have no idea about broadway and musical theatre. Actors in theatre productions are always over-expressive so the audience can see everything that happens including facial expressions.
and they have no idea how they hand broadway mics on foreheads.. they seem a little.. boorish.
No offense but you seem to know nothing about musical theatre, the first thing you learn in musical theatre is to act big so everyone can see.
Nienke Galis IKR.. you have to act for that single person that is sitting at the back of the theater, or so the saying goes. This is a broadway show first and foremost, this acting is not meant to be recorded on film.
Exactly :)
Casey sing more in the shower that this two morrons
Wow what the hell do some research. You guys really don't know anything about theatre! Plus you guys were really rude to her.
These guys shouldn't react to theater performances, if they know nothing about musical theater
The levels of uncultured is iconic
Nasily voice?! There was no nasal there at all! It was perfect! Way better than Idina Menzel.
Menzel was ideal for the film, the actor for Elsa is ideal for the broadway show two amazing singers
as i disagree about her being better than Idina, she is a very good singer, and her voice was on point! :)
@@PanzerFalcon2232 you do realize that Idina made her name on Broadway too
This is the best singer to sing this song!!!!!!!!!!!!! She has more control and amazing technique, and sounds better then anyone else who sings this song. This isn’t her best performance of let it go, the Tonys performance was better, and when I saw her it was amazing ♥️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️
Adam #love Cassie Levy had to “restrain” herself singing this song because she has to do a show later that day...
nah u need to see ciara renée, shes much more better then her. and the fact that u said that shes the “best” singer to sing this song when thee idina menzel was the og and the best of all the best
it's a mic..the thing on her head :)

I've never been more pissed watching a reaction. Do some research. React with respect. If you don't know, dont comment.

This was not fun to watch. I’d like to see you get up on broadway 8 times a week and try to do what she does.
Amateur reaction... lacks musical experience and knowledge.
The thing in the forehead is actually the mic.
I don't like this reaction. This is the absolutely first negative thing I've ever said about a reaction.
this is a real representation of how non knowing musical theater and singing people react to theater. you were talking about her face lol. listen to her voice

How can u say that?
She Is one of the best singers ever!!

The thing in her forehead is really the mic. In theatres actors use this method very often.
The thing on here her forehead was actually the mic......
It seems that you know nothing about Broadway 😂
I think, you should start immersing yourselves in musical theater.
I respectfully ask you never react to musical theatre ever again, this was terrible.
she did not get banished, she ran away XD
"the thing that drips" is the mic hahahahaha
I knew this video was not gonna be bright the second he said Caissie's last name wrong. Its KC Lee-vee
The lapel is placed like that so that it would be hidden. The lapel placement is also depend on the actors voice quality.
Yes that's a microphone. And it's a common for a musical to use that kind of microphone.
YES THAT THING THAT IS HANGING FROM HER FOREHEAD IS A MICROPHONE
about the nasally voice, that's how they sing in musical theatre

pls don’t ever react to musical theatre performances again
That’s a lapel microphone that’s commonly used in theatre shows or broadway musicals. Usually placed on the forehead.
Can you guys please do more research on Broadway and musical theatre before you react to them?
It's actually the Microphone hehe. I saw some musicals and mostly their mics are like that. Hehehe
I just saw the musical a coupple days ago & she is AMAZING, you have to see it LIVE before your critics
Honestly, This felt like a very snobby "We aren't theatre people" reaction.
Sheesh, I'm sorry about the petty comments you're getting. I mean, I disagree with y'all here but there's a way to reply without being a snob. So on that note....

1:50 it’s a microphone
The microphones are usually pinned to the forehead underneath the wigs ☺
Maybe don't react to a medium without actually knowing anything about it first. This video reflects so badly on you and nothing else. Interesting that for a music channel, you have no idea about music or even the basics of sound and how a microphone works. This is so cringeworthy.
Whew Chile...
It was not recorded on the stage of The View I can tell you
*THAT*
Her mic were on her forehead because of the costume change
Its a microphone, they are sometimes wired underneath the wig and hooked onto the wig cap (the cap that holds their real hair down).
The nasel, called twang (it wasn't that much though in the beginning) they performe like 8 times a week, they have this technique because other wise they end up having a vocal damage.
Not confident.. bruh
This was a terrible reaction. lol
that thing on her heaed is the mic

I hate to be rude, but you really know nothing about musical theater!
it is at the ST JAMES THEATRE
It's a mic 🙄
I don't usually comment on things like this but my lord this is the most ignorant reaction I have ever seen... they literally spent two minutes discussing a head mic then got confused cuz hey thought this was in a daytime television show...... "i wish i had powers" - read a book....
That is a mic!
WTf You guys, you don't know anything about a theater performance, Lol.
Jesus u know nothing about theatre lol
Ovela you killed me today with that hanging mic of yours hahahaha. Got me laughing so hard early this morning. 😂🎤
Please react to Adagio by Charice Pempengco and Christian Imparato. It's an Italian song. And get ready to get blown away!
TNTV Live: TNT Boys - Flashlight | TNT Records Grand Launch

Where is the Ariana Grande carpool karaoke reaction?
It's exclusively on our patreon
The thing dangling from her forehead is her mic!
that thing hanging IS her mic lol.
I'm sorry she's wearing a heavy ice dress plus a thick coronation dress obviously her movements will be a little stiff
React to “Monster” also from Frozen The Musical ♥️
You clearly don’t know anything about theatre mics yes you were right about the hair thing but putting mics on costumes is only a tv talk show thing mics are normally on your face held on by your ears
I surely don’t mean to offend you, especially the young lady, but I have to wonder whether you’ve been to the theater before? Maybe googling the story might be a reasonable idea before watching ANY video in the future, especially show tunes and opera....so you know what they’re singing before judging them. Or, is this a joke? Yes, those are microphones. This video was taken when The View brought their audience to a preview of the Show at the appointed theatre. Plus, didn’t agree with your assessments. Sorry.
Yea it’s a mic
Stop chatting and listen
Yes it is a mic

You guys are an embarrassment. For a guy that has sound engineering training you have no knowledge of mics or stage work. You called her stiff etc but she’s supposed to be.
You called the audience simple but you sure you not talking about yourselves?
Don’t try to review a genre you don’t have any understanding. And I’d love to see you do special effects for Broadway babe!
When do you release the reaction video for Morissettes "Panaginip MV"
Smh
Whew.... yall know nothing about musical theatre. Just do some research next time and save yourself the embarrassment.
4:00 it's an Indian tradition they wear it at parties and festivals it's not a mic 🤦
