how did you lose the cats without the check engine? i’m planning on going catless with a roush axleback and popcorn bama tune but after watching this that SCT sounds really nice. might just consider that instead
You will need to buy a “defouler o2 sensor”. It tricks the cars computer in thinking you still have cats which avoids the check engine light. Also I don’t personally recommend bama for there tuning. I’ve heard to many negative story’s to try them out, but as long as you get the sound your going for.

100% auto mafia also tunes gt as well. If you check there website or RUclips channel you can see they applied this tune on a gt as well. Now with all this being said I have to do a big disclaimer. If you are still running stock catalytic converters I do not advise getting the tommy gun tune because you will blow them. Instead what you could get is there popcorn tune which also pops and is a lot more saver on your stock cats.

Sorry for the late response, I do not have a ported intake. I have a JLT cold air intake, bbk shorty headers, catless mid pipe and a borla attak cat back. That is pretty much all I have done to the engine. Everything else is cosmetic mods.
I just received my sct from AMR filled out the form and now waiting for the tune. I got the mild pops. I was wondering how hard is it to load it up? Do I need a laptop? I’ve never used a tuner before... thanks man love the videos 👌👍🏽
The over all process is pretty simple. You will need to have laptop though. You’ll have to download a couple softwares. One to update the sct x4 and load the tune to the device. And one to datalog the tune to make sure that everything is running correctly. if I recall correctly that AMR when they send you the tune file also sends instructions on how to install and do everything you need. They also have there own video that you can watch.which they send you the link to it as well. If you need help once you get it I’m always willing to help out. Also thanks! Glad you enjoy them!

The only thing I would recommend you need or that you want to remove to be exact is your catalytic converters. They will get messed up after running this tune for a while
You can run the tune with any exhaust even a stock one. The only risk is that with time you could potentially damage your cats. The way they get the burbles is, they adjust timing so that the fuel ignites as its leaving and heading into the exhaust so it could damage the cats over time. I can’t really say how bad or how long it could take as I am running catless pipes
@@16ix7podcast I’m not a 100% sure but I do believe the ghost cam could hurt them long term. The thing is to make those tunes make your car is igniting fuel late which could combust when they are going down to the cats.

Yes they worked with me. I asked them to give me a faction of what this tune is. I wanted to be able to daily drive my car and be able to make the burbles go of when I wanted to. So what they ended up sending me was a tune that only popes and banged from 3500-redline rpm. Normally when I drive I don’t typically go above that. Of course when I’m feeling a bit more aggressive it’s very easy to get into that range of rpms to get it to go off. I’m sure if you wanted to lower or make it higher they will work with you.

Oh yeah lol you definitely need what I got if your in California. But yeah they work with you really well. What I would do personally is ask for the tommy gun tune then ask them to tone it down. They charge you the same for a mild tune or the tommy gun one so in my opinion might as well have both lol.

@@HackWindows no they didn’t, but just to make sure you and anyone who could read this gets all the info. They charge 250$ for a tune and a additional 100$ for a burble tune. That mean a mild or tommy gun tune. Once you pay that extra 100$ then your good. I requested the tommy gun tune first and then ask for the toned down version which was free of charge because that $100 is for a burble tune period regardless of a mild or tommy gun.. Which is why I told the other guy if I were him request the tommy gun tune then ask for something tone down. So in short no it wasn’t any extra charge or anything.
I had the same problem but I found out that this tune is very dependent on a leak free exhaust. Had a small leak which caused the car not to run properly.

Did you have any problems with the tunes? I currently run with the same tunes but my ghost cam tune doesn’t sound as choppy and the tommy gun tune was excellent but after 1 day of not turning on the car it sounds, as best as i can describe it, weak like when it pops compared to when i first tuned it. A portion of what could be the cause of your problem could be our exhaust set ups. I have a pretty open set up. I have no cats and shorty headers. But that’s interesting you might consider returning the car back to stock and trying to reinstall the tune. I’ve ran the tommy gun tune for about 6 months with out changing it without any issue. I then tried running a ghost cam for a week and then switched back but never had a issue

Hmmm. In my opinion, it'd sound better if it were truly randomized or easily achieved by poking the throttle on decell. My '15 is all stock tune with a Wicked Flow X-pipe, S550.2 GT quadtips and shorties. With just the first two mods and with the engine up to temp, I was able to sharply poke the throttle and occasionally get it to 'fire a shot' and it was so rewarding when it would. I think this would get old to me really quick and I'd be concerned about the longterm health of the exhaust system (cats) with what's literally explosions happening in the pipes. But as memey/gimicky as this is, it sounds freakin' awesome 😎
I do have to say i agree with some of the points you made but i feel like if you buy this tune its because you knew what you were getting. I personally am running there mild popcorn tune which is more or less of what you are talking about. Also i dont have to worry about cats, since i dont have any on my car. I feel like this is some kind of you love it or hate it kind of deal. but would love to see that gt your talking about!!

@@Spartan_660 of course! Lol I actually specifically chose the 6 vs the 8 because it's lighter in the nose which helps my turn-in and apex. I'm building mine got road courses and my exhaust is done, suspension is next followed by 19x11 squared up set of wheels and I'd be happy. Lot of street V8 owners don't like me lol because I eat them up in the bends and technical track elements ;)

@@kutariXO so for the exhaust system alone was about 2k. The tune was about another 600 with the tune device and the burble tune. I did all the work my self so I couldn’t say how much labor would cost. I hope this helps you a bit
When did you get your MPT tune? I bought it back in March. They said they didn’t offer it anymore. In the past years the did but seems the stop doing that.

I’m not trying to shit on them or anything but my personal experience didn’t end up going to well
