Not quite. Hubert thumps with his thumb on the low E string while do the E minor pentatonic stuff. Watch Hubert’s video on this if you want to play it like him. David Johansson on vocals.
Thanks for this great lesson, been playin this one wrong and this got me on the right track to sounding like the record. Just switching from picking to fingerstyle on this song made a huge difference! That droning low E really makes it sound right
One can’t possibly think, is this 100% correct when Jeff’s in the drivers seat! I thought I could play this...as Jeff says, a lot of listening required!
@@thehandmedownbadboy950 I grabbed my D too when I realized I'm gonna have to watch this a hundred times to be able to play that song where anyone could tell what I'm trying to play ..
@@michaeltarver6423 The whole point of this lesson could be to do just that. Keep playing, keep listening, keep playing. It takes everyone a million tries. I first tried playing guitar at 12, I took it seriously for about a dozen years starting at 29, at 61 I'm finally starting to get it. And even though I've been playing all that time, I got something out of this lesson, working in those fills on the second part.
@DonDeering i would say that the whole point, or at least the reason most guys start playing guitar, is in the hopes that someone else will grab it for them!!!😂
you are good and make it look easy. I played piano as a kid and had talent, but it was work for me as a kid. My Mother pushed me hella hard and it ruined it for me at the time. A lot of my buddies are musicians and I had a lot of fun watching them play, but not as much fun as they did
Thanks for the lesson! I bought your British blues lessons on true fire. Improved my playing 1000% 🙌🙌🙌
Came for the lesson, fell in love with the guitar tone.......
lesson.....? I'll get back to it another day....
your tone is amazing , also the most correct version of this masterpiece i've seen on youtube.
Now if we could find someone with the voice quality of Howling Wolf to accompany that great guitar playing, man wouldn't that be something?
🎙️🐺 😆
Finally someone who plays it like Mr. Sumlin

Who’re the 31 that gave the thumbs down?!!? This was definitely TWO thumbs up!

I'll be looking for your next big hit, lol!

very well taught, thank you.
Nice guitar lesson thanks for it appreciated
I just watched huberts video of him saying Wolf fired him for using a pick. He said he played this with his fingers! Only way he could come back lol
Gracias 🥺!!!
Thanks
Good Job!!
Nice
Great tutorial! What’s your neck pickup?
(part of the) The trick is no pick.
How many more times?
Animals did it best! Eric Burdon's vocals amazing!
That’s nice but you got to start on the four not on the two. Thank you for the rhythm. Part explanation also.
Jesus Christ died for you so live for him and live
Sounds great but the tutorial needs to be slower and show every little bit. We are not all great players to start with. We need step by step.
Use a video like this to get better. Good opportunity for ear training, with that repetitive lick.
What kind of Susie Q is this? xD
This isn’t played as it is in the song good lesson though
like most white teens- I first heard this via the Yardbirds.
Yeah.. Eric Clapton's excellent take on the 'Five Live Yardbirds' LP; recorded at the Marquee club in London; released Feb 1965.. rwp
This guy squirrelly af
Jk
Terrible tutorial, thanks mate - but way too fast.
Go away
Yeah def not for a beginner like myself. Moving so fast I can’t tell what the heck is going on lol
It's perfect for people who just need a quick rundown
Thank you!
