She’s not bad but she’s not the best! She is over imposing and overwhelming as a parental figure. She basically runs the show but it allows for Rory to not develop a sense of self which she needed as she became an adult.
@ccutehoney yeah, she's realistically flawed. She does love and care so much, but you can also see where her missteps contributed to some of Rory's problems. I love Lorelai as a character.
Please realize that she’s lovely to other people’s kids but not to her own. She’s so incredibly co dependent on her child. It’s why Rory has been so mature. Don’t be a mom like Lorelei
what to you mean she was co dependent on rory? she literally ran away with absolutely nothing and built a life for the both of them. she loved rory so much and she worked so hard for them to be comfortable. she raised rory by herself at the age of 16 for god's sake, what more could you want from her?
@@indecisiveranter Lorelei has always lived through Rory starting from her name. Rory is kind of Lorelai do over intentionally or unintentionally. She always told her she had to go to Harvard and she had to do this and that. I mean you could see it as soon as Rory got any kind of independence that girl fell apart because she had no sense of identity of being. I had a mom similar to Lorelai that had gone though a lot of childhood trauma and abandonment and she ended up doing the same thing as Lorelei basically living though me but loving me more than anyone could ever. And I love that woman she’s the best but she overcompensated from her own trauma
@@ccutehoney Agree with everything @indecisiveranter has said. She was 16 and did damn good job raising Rory. She isn't perfect, of course, but a lot of parents could certainly learn a thing or two from Lorelai. The love, support, and respect she shows Rory is top tier.
I love how she is like a mother figure to other people too, like lane and paris
literally bro like i fr wanna be a mom like this 😭😭
And me 😅
She's my replacement mother
Same
Same omg whenever I feel bad I imagine her giving me advice in my head it’s so sad but comforting 😭
she is the mum i wished i have
And this, my friends, is the reason why I've never eaten chips from a communal bowl, bless Lorelai Gilmore. :D
Wear your hair low and your attitude high. Lorelai is cool😂
I loved these episodes
this channel is so underrated
Aww this is the cutest 😍
i'm going to show this to everyone who claims she was a bad mother
