I can 100% attest to the blister prevention claim. I wear toe socks everyday to work under my boots and they are the best!! So good! Especially if you’re prone to getting wet feet and or have naturally sweaty feet. Such a good idea. I need to try this brand though.

I had a similar reaction my first wear. After a few times it became less novel and noticeable. They are really nice on colder days. However I've mostly switched to DarnTough, but I keep a couple of pairs of these in the rotation and I always use them as my sleep sock on backpacking trips.

    They are brilliant Trev.
    I had some for Christmas.
My toes felt warmer. They felt a bit weird first of all, but I turned mine inside out and noticed bits of fluff and stuff, which you can feel. Once removed and turned back the right way, they felt good and comfy.
Plus, I felt like an extra from Planet of the Apes!
    Stay Well.

When I started walking long distances I regularly started getting rashes and blisters, especially between or on top of the toes. Gels and talcs were tried, and probably did help a little bit, but neither solved the problem.
I bought the thinnest Injinji 2's and they were a complete game-changer for me. No padding, but plenty of wicking of moisture and no inter-toe friction to cause blisters. They were not exactly cheap, but they were worth every penny. They've lasted surprisingly well too, for such a thin sock.
They look real stupid, definitely! ... getting the smallest toe in required a bit of pinching and pulling ... and they felt very weird at first but I soon forgot about them. Because mine were so thin, I used my regular sock over the top.
I have never had another blister or rash in my toes since! Even when I've gotten water in my shoe!
I'd strongly recommend them to anyone who is prone to toe-rashes or blisters.

My hammertoes improved 70% after wearing Injinjis for a few weeks. Now I’ve started wearing them inside wide-toe box, zero-drop Lems shoes and boots and I’m seeing even more improvement after just a week. I’ll never wear other socks. I even wear them at the gym now.

Toe socks not for me too ...
I wore it for a few years and it got more and more uncomfortable because the pressure on my toe bones is unbearable with certain shoes as the shape of my feet flares out at the toes in a fan shape, toe socks increases that pressure a lot more than normal socks.
Secondly I began to long for the feeling of the skins of my toes rubbing against each other ... as soon as I switch back to normal socks it felt amazing ...
Maybe to good thing about trying toe socks and switching back to normal socks is it makes me appreciate the sensation of my naked toes rubbing against each other a lot more... even now I still feel kind of happy when I wriggle my naked toes against each other....

I love toe socks. I have to modify them. The two toes next to the big toes are proper webbed. I know it common so I asked the toe sock company to they do them for me. Them said they don’t make them for people with my condition. I’m now feeling weird about it. The legend is that one of my Irish forefathers married a mermaid. I hope you life paddy legends.

This style of socks would be best paired with a shoe which has a wide toe box like the Altra trail shoes. I use the Injini liner socks with a traditional sock which works well and you don't have the bulk with the liner so you end up not feeling them (admittedly they were a bit weird at the beginning). The liner socks are much thiner and stop my small toe from rubbing against the next toe so good for 10 mile + outings. Also on YT it's the runners and long distance thru-hiking people in the US who mostly talk about toe socks (AT, PCT, etc.). In the UK most people are not doing such high milage so less chance of blister foot problems.

    • @maggs131

Never heard of them or seen then before to be honest and if it had been 1 April, I would have thought it was a joke but you cannot argue with a 14 mile test walk. Appreciate your honesty but I may get a pair for Mrs Metalman to try, as she suffers with bunions and rubbing toes, which is why she prefers walking saddles, as opposed to boots. These may encourage her to wear boots, if they are protecting her toes, cheers Alan

I use their liner socks with a mid weight hiking sock over them here in Iceland in the winter, I find it much more comfortable than just a heavy weight sock. But for the first few times I wore them I was thinking about them which added to the strange feeling. Now I've covered a few hundred miles in the mountains with them I don't even notice them and will probably try these for the "summer" here

To be fair, by the second or third time you put them on you just don't notice them at all, Andrew.
I've yet to find anything that wicks moisture better than the thinner Injinji 2 'liner' socks. I did pretty much spend the whole of the first walk noticing them... the next walk I didn't notice them at all. I'm autistic and VERY sensitive to stuff like that.
Was a game changer for me because I am prone to toe-itch, rashes and blisters. Now my toes are happy.
I use the thinnest "injinji 2" liner sock and put my regular sock over the top.
