I have a lot of forex spends that I put on Axis Reserve card. For INR purchases that can be done with vouchers, I use Amex and HDFC Infinia and for INR purchases that can't be done via vouchers, I use Axis Atlas.
I always wonder what is the point of all this hassle considering the amount of time and efforts that one needs to put into maximizing the benefits, keeping track of points, managing multiple cards, etc. If we put same amount of efforts in upskilling ourselves, won't we be making more money. At the end human capital is more valuable than any other methods of savings. Note - I myself hold some credit cards. Just sharing my thoughts.
The problem is that people don't understand credit cards well. If one does, getting extra 5-10% from your spends is not extra "hassle" but just a way of life. I don't spend any considerable amount of time doing each spend because I have been able to build some mental models that work very fast. I want to teach people to have those mental models for 2-3 best cards for them and thus generate a return without doing anything extra. And yes upskilling is necessary. But I don't think it has to be either upskilling or spending smartly. Can do both
Bhai 25L in 4 years matlab 6.25L per year. If I consider 10% return. You must have spent 62.5L using credit card(s) per year. What are you spending on, bro? *pun intended*
It isn't so easy to back-calculate or estimate return % just from the value of my rewards (business class seats). Value of reward points is generally higher if you book business class seats and even more if you book first class. My return rate was over 30% if you calculate this way.
I encourage you to make more easy content and share your learnings as newbies are doing blunder and want to increase earnings. As of now I am learning from xy axis channel he is a great teacher
