It was kind of fun of playing at the Astrodome in the 60s when it was first built. The first ever domed stadium in the world.

After the game, Elvin Hayes was running his mouth, claiming that he was the greatest player of all time. However, UCLA and Lew Alcindor (Aka Kareem Abdul-Jabbar) shut his mouth real quick when UCLA Anniliated Houston and Elvin Hayes with a score of 101-69.

Howard Porter had a great game in the 1971 NCAA Title game vs UCLA . This is where Porter got the MOP award for the tournament. Maybe the dome was meant for the Power forwards and Not the centers. Porter took it to Sidney Wicks in that title game

@@foxmccloud7055 Yes , but my comment was about the night That they played the "Game of the Century. Jay Norman ( ucla asst. coach )told Wooden that the Box and 1 Defense would slow the Big E down. and with George Reynolds out for Houston ( Point Guard )- Houston wasn't going to win the Rematch. This was the Game of the Century = Greatest college Game Ever !!!!!
