Yes it was. I spoke with a couple of fellows that's knew the owner and the said he had gotten it from Kansas. While it was very rough it wasn't as bad as many I've seen in this part of the country.
Another boomer kicks-off leaving a lifetime collection of cool stuff. Too bad most of younger guys don't have what it takes to carry on with it,,,,,,,DUBS,,,,,,,,
Thanks for commenting. I feel like I'm seeing this in prices. Tools especially. Many times I've been to sales with high quality/ specialty tools going at give away prices. One of the reasons I started my store. Now I have an outlet. I'll buy so I don't have to cringe watching them sell for peanuts.
I took a set of wheel to throw on it to roll... had means but the way the bidding stalled at 100 thought that might be it. I guess with a $100 budget I should have bid on the one in tree's that went for $10 😆
That studeabaker convert...could really be something cool...
I think so too. I'm sort thinking I could have went higher on it. Especially since I have a set of floor pans for it that I've had for 40 years!
I'll bet that particular 48 model convertible is as rare as hens teeth. Somebody got a good start on one for cheap.

Studie rag tops are not common but that one was very rotten and not much left of the top structure. AL B.
I agree. With the front and rear body damage, rust and the top being bent as you said, it was just to rough to go more on it.
Visor is missing mounting hardware so is incomplete. AL.
You're right AL. No sign it had ever been mounted on this Stude...
the kool 50 and 51 studebaker front end bolts right on that car to get rid of the ugly front end
A stude guy would be crazy not to buy that,,,,,,,,
It was tough but the front end and rear end body damage is what really did it for me. Just too rough.
