The first four films from 1974-1994 were truly products of their time! Interesting choice, they decided to make all 3 sequels (1986-1994) campy and self-aware, unlike most of the Halloween and Friday The 13th sequels.

I hope they will make a film where the name of the Leatherface of the third timeline will be discovered (the one whose only last name was known) and a sequel to this year's direct sequel where Leatherface dies once and for all. Maybe even for the others two timelines.

It is weird that I adore the first five films because I didn’t find the movies Gory-ish. Yes definitely quite bloody and disturbed atmosphere and raw which is what made the films not only disturbing. But very creepy as well. I liked how they were done from 1974-2003 of the first five films.
But once Texas Chainsaw Massacre The Beginning happened. It went into gory Territory. 6-9 as in 2006-2022 felt like torture porn films to me. I know this sounds so stupid. 😒
I adore that remake. ❤

Am I the only one who is annoyed that the 2017 film doesn't have "Texas chainsaw massacre" in the title? But then why in the third film put Leatherface first main title first? I mean, what's the point? And the direct sequel? If it was a sequel why call it after the original? They did the same thing with Scream 5 (which is not from a requel) and Halloween Vengeance (I call it that of 2018, more you tell me).

More like "Halloween Returns" for 2018, it just fits more in line with its sequels; "Kills" and "Ends".
