Little Joe is an Icon for Tejano music. His arraignments are the best. He has definitely improved a lot of old songs. We have Little Joe for a long time!!
I used to go see and dance to the music of the all time greats, "Sunny Ozuna And The Sunliners", Orquesta de Oscar Martinez and of course..., Little Joe y La Familia" and many more at the Pan American Night Club on North Main St. in Houston, Texas (Now defunct) back in the mid1960s before I went into the U.S. Army in 1966..., and after I returned in 1969. Did anyone who is over 50 years of age and from the Houston area ever go there? .
It's nice to listen to this recording. My dad Conrado Cruz is playing bass on this track and on Margarita Margarita. Thank you Santiago and Joe for giving dad the opportunity. It's been along time coming.
I resided en "el segundo barrio" on Navigation and Canal Streets in the mid1960s. I still have a now married son as the only relative l have in Houston. I also still have fond memories of that big city.
Excellent music, mis recuerdos from my dad, cuando regresava a nuestro pueblo hermoso from USA, back on the sixty's, Orgullosamente de Olinala' Guerrero Mexico, .Little Joe chingon chingon
I have the music cd of Little Joe with Accordion Masters. Love the mix. Tejano dancing music genre has the most dancing styles than any other music genre (style) in the whole wide world. Hee are some of them, Polkas, cumbias, huapango, country, rock and roll, hip hop (hey, Las Hijas de Don Simon-lol), charanga, waltz/valtz, slow piece, cotton eye joe, twist, cajun…that's twelve. Ponle Little Joe Y Flaco!
