Many houses and buildings are designed and constructed individually, resulting in a diverse array of architectural styles. The Water village is the largest floating village in Europe. The new, almost finished Sluishuis building will be a beautiful eyecatcher.
IJburg has quickly become popular among those who love modern architecture and water sports.

What an interesting community of steel, cement , and glass! I see that quite a few are trying to bring green to their little decks. WOW, what a tour! Thank you wandering Thomas!

No mather how much technology a country may have; if they put a side nature, green areas, threes... those country assure death (Heven living) I admire the effort of The Netherlands in this matter. Even when you have a lot of concret, there is always green areas, plants. gardens great care. Thank you.

👏👏
How you pronounce IJburg? Why is there's two capital letters in the first two letters of the name?
ij is considered one letter. It stands for the sound (diphthong) e + i: or in English: e from ‘pet’ followed by ee from’ sneeze’
Este video no tiene mucho atractivo para mí , no me gusta este barrio . No parece estar muy bien urbanizado , es extraño . Pero le agradezco mucho el paseo . Gracias .
Can you do Heerlen, Limburg?
I would like to do more Limburg walks, yes :)
Is it in the north of Amsterdam?
No, the east side of Amsterdam.

It's right here. Thanks for viewing!
@@mneoud Thx a lot. A late friend lived on Middenweg across Hugo de Vrieslaan in the east part of Amsterdam. I didn’t see any water there.
@@RR-kx5mn These are new man-made islands, for housing development, in the lake IJmeer, just northeast of Diemen. An expansion of the city of Amsterdam, a new borough made of several man-made islands, still in development. Steigereiland (jetty island), Rieteilanden (reed islands) and Haveneiland (harbor island) are finished. Centrumeiland (center island) is in construction, Strandeiland (beach island) and Middeneiland (middle island) are in development and Buiteneiland (outer island) is in planning stage, that island has to be made yet, I believe.
@@RealConstructor Thanks for explaining.
The streets are waaaaay too wide. Not human-scale, and really decentivizes 'eyes on the street', They feel like they are designed to carry lorries going 60km/h, both directions!
Interesting! Which parts do you refer to exactly? I have heard many things about IJburg but not that the streets are wide.
Thanks for viewing!
What in heavens name are you talking about. There isn't a single street over 1 lane width in the video.
