No the GLE has a 4 cylinder as well for the plug in hybrid. The GLC is a compact where the GLE is a midsize. This comparison is valid. The GLS competes with the TX but doesn't have a PHEV yet
@romairoblackstock5100 search up the dimensions. The GLS is around the same size as the TX, new Acadia, and new Enclave, even though they are considered "midsized." If the GLS did not have a v8 option, people would only consider body on frame SUVs as full size. The GLE's third row is a joke, whereas the GLS's is more comparable to the TX.
@@bradleyscarreviews I think the 50e is great, but they are having major issues with the hybrid system right now. Still significantly more reliable than the Mercedes dumpster fire.
“Mercedes-Benz is industrial garbage, Lexus is much better” 😛 1. Reliability: Lexus vehicles are often praised for their reliability and longevity, with fewer reported issues compared to some Mercedes-Benz models. 2. Comfort: Lexus cars are known for their smooth and comfortable rides, with plush interiors and excellent sound insulation, providing a serene driving experience. 3. Resale Value: Lexus vehicles tend to hold their value well over time, which can be advantageous when it comes time to sell or trade in the car. 4. Material Use: Lexus often uses high-quality materials in their vehicles, including premium leather, wood accents, and soft-touch surfaces, contributing to a luxurious feel inside the cabin. In comparison, some Mercedes-Benz models may use materials that feel less premium or durable. 5. Comfort: Lexus places a strong emphasis on providing a comfortable driving experience, with features like supportive seats, refined suspension systems, and advanced noise insulation techniques to minimize road and wind noise. This focus on comfort can make long drives more enjoyable and less fatiguing compared to certain Mercedes-Benz models. 6. Isolation: Lexus vehicles are engineered to provide a quiet and isolated cabin environment, shielding occupants from external disturbances and creating a tranquil atmosphere inside the car. This attention to isolation enhances the overall driving experience, especially during highway cruising or in urban environments with high levels of noise pollution. 7. Tech Doesn't Equal Luxury: While both Lexus and Mercedes-Benz incorporate advanced technology into their vehicles, luxury is not solely defined by the number of tech features. Lexus prioritizes intuitive and user-friendly technology that enhances the driving experience without overwhelming users with complexity. This approach ensures that technology complements the overall luxury feel of the vehicle rather than overshadowing it. Mercedes-Benz is inferior, and Lexus surpasses it in every aspect. 😂
If you buy a E Class sedan E450 you get a six cylinder buy this GLE 450 you get a four cylinder which must struggle with four adults and luggage ,the interior dates back to 2019 ,but the outside in my opinion still looks good ,definitely one for the Newport Beach OC crowd
I’ll take the one that’s a real legitimate luxury car. Not the rav4 with ugly lipstick that falls behind in just about every single way kind of like the bz4x and Mitsubishi mirage do Give me the mercedes. Accept the reality that the RX simply can’t compete

I Love my RX450h+🤷🏼♂️
Solid, quiet and reliable
Now test drive a BMW X5
Depreciation taken into account and the choice is much easier...
Ride comfort, interior , NVH ETC makes the choice EVEN easier.
In what way? Which depreciates faster?
The GLE is likely way more expensive as optioned. You should note the as tested prices. The Lexus likely comes with more standards options

I think the Lexus TX against the GLE would be a much fairer comparison.

@normanli7085 The GLS is a fullsized SUV that competes with the Lexus LX, Infiniti QX80,BMW X7 etc. It does not compete with the midsized Lexus TX.

Yeah the 50e is a pretty compelling luxury PHEV.
It’s small inside.

I truly hope MB puts this powertrain in the new CLE. I really need a plug in hybrid coupe. I know I’m the only one but still lol.

The E-Class isn’t a PHEV and when this GLE is fully charged it has more power and torque on tap.
Interior still looks better than the RX despite its age and non plug in GLE 450 is a 6 cylinder confusing ik
Personally prefer the interior of the RX. The Mercedes looks so 90's (lots of wood & big no to brown seats)
This comparison is a joke. That Mercedes looks 10 years old and the quality is in the swamp. Lexus
Stupid capacitive steering wheel on the Mercedes, otherwise it is a great car, though probably unreliable and low resale.
The ride in the Mercedes is hard, noisy engine.
Great job on the comparison.
Lexus over the Merc
The rx is weird looking… id go benz..
I like the Mercedes, but their reliability sucks.
I’d pass on both of these and take the Audi Q5 e.
