If the NY State Athletic commission cleared him enough to ONLY punish Ryan for not reporting his prescriptions & suppliments to THEM, which is all they did, Ryan purposely cheating is off the table. If not, they would have banned him for longer...
They ban people for cheating on purpose less time than a year almost 100% of the time basically he took a plea deal to get a lesser punishment just like regular court

They pushed for the plea deal because proving intent would be difficult. A lazy way of getting this spectacle swept back behind closed doors and trying to half-ass appease public perception. They didn't do either boxer any favors in definitive answers.
@@wolfmand9641 you do realize that if he didnt accept the plea deal, he wouldnt have been able to box in the ring even longer because of how long the investigation wouldve been and still wouldve been banned for a year after the investigation because of the contaminated supplements. It was just easier to take the plea deal and be out for only a year rather than fight it for a year then be out for another year.

I just want this whole topic to fade already. The fight was almost half a year ago and we're still carrying on when by all appearances it was carelessness that didn't involve enough of the substance to yield direct benefit. The dude got suspended, forfeited money and will be under a microscope. That's called CONSEQUENCES. Devin's gonna be suffering his own consequences after chasing away future transactions by being agressive in court pursueing damages. People are gonna be very wary of working with a family that operates that way. Hopefully Devin proves me wrong and starts making changes/improvements instead of excuses. Right now his career looks cooked.
