sad fact about the bye bye man; the director, stacy title, was diagnosed with als and is currently in a state where she only has control over her eyes. her husband, jonathan penner, was a player on the tv show survivor so him and stacy have been featured on this current season about raising money for als research and what not. they seem like incredible people and it's heartbreaking what they're going through.
lukey charms Wow. Didn’t know that. How terribly sad for she and her family. ☹️
holy shit. i love survivor and penner and never even realized…
Omg😩 that’s sooo sad
yixianosaurus longimanus same!
Damn😔
Terrifer is soooo good bad. But that guy who played art deserves an award he was great.
That movie really delivered the goods. It was horrifying. And yeah, the guy who played Art was outstanding. The fact that he didn’t speak a word and had no backstory made it even creepier.
@@virginiapicker There's supposed to be a sequel coming out sometime later this year! Honestly I hope that we learn absolutely nothing about Art's backstory or who he is, the less we know the better imo
"The gore is not that bad." Art proceeds to saw a woman in half vertically. 😳 It was creepy film indeed. His staying silent through out the film despite being in pain adds to it.
anyone notice this video is actually only 14 movies?? lol I completely skipped over Stay Alive! what's your favorite "bad" horror movie that you actually enjoy?
PossessedbyHorror Anything Friday the 13th, I love laughing at those movies 😂
Yesss Stay Alive is a great choice!!!
Waxwork (1988) and April Fool's Day (1986) are probably my favorite "bad" movies
Zombi '90: Extreme Pestilence. Filmed in German and dubbed in English.
It's so funny but it wasn't supposed to be.
Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation😬
Number 1: My life
Vilified felt that
Hhh can't relate, mines so bad it's sad 🤡
Yup😔😅
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Terrifier is such an underrated movie when I first watched it I fell in love like the scene where art the clown saws the blonde girl in half was so iconic I can’t wait for Terrifier 2
the House of Wax remake is actually beautifully crafted. It’s overly-hated because Hilton is in it.
Hilton was actually pretty good in this, IMO.
Agree! And omg that fight scene with the main girl and the guy coming after her in the garage while 2000s hard rock plays? Chefs kiss👌🏼
who’s hilton? paris hilton? lol
@@brazilianpanda4691 yes lol
"Paris Hilton screaming? That's so much entertainment right there."
😂
I totally get why people hate on Clown but I genuinely LOVED that movie
@@societycrumbles same, it was supposed to be background noise but I got sucked into it right away
yeah, i love it too.....
Same i loved it too!!
It's been a while since I watched it but I don't remember it to be bad. I know I definitely enjoyed it.
Oml it’s so good
I absolutely love "Sorority Row". Besides the creative kills, i LIVE for the bitchy dialogues, especially from the character Jessica. It's almost like "Mean Girls", just as a slasher. And the soundtrack is amazing, too. And i just realized how many well-known actors Molly Hartley has. I mean, Haley Bennett alone.
I also love "House of Wax", "Asylum" and "Terrifier". Art deserves a way higher budget.
I recently watched Apostle, Triangle, Cam, and The Ritual because of this channel. I’m very thankful I’ve found your channel, keep up the great work and suggestions. 😊
I ended up watching Cam the same night I saw her video mentioning it, it was great!! I love this channel :D
apostle is so good! the atmosphere is great~
I really liked Cam. I was so bored during The Ritual. Are Apostle and Triangle worth it? :)
Apostle and Ritual are legit
Hell yeah, a Shudder sponsor. Sick denim by the way. And I love Art The Clown. Can’t wait for Terrifier 2
me too! Felissa Rose gonna add so much I think!
@@PossessedbyHorror what's your favorite horror movie?
House Of Wax was my favorite movie growing up- probably because Chad Michael Murray, lets be real. I really enjoyed the story though, predictable? sure. but heckin’ original! Would love to see a review of Ghost Ship, and would love an episode series going through the 10 episodes of Haunting of Hill House ♥️
I WAS JUST ABOUT TO COMMENT HOUSE OF WAX lolol love that movie
Jared Padalecki tho 😋
@Black Ninja oh yeah, I remember that! it's that one episode with Paris Hilton, right ? She's like the villain of the episode and I think she's playing herself...
yes I would love to watch a video about hill house!
Black Ninja Im allowed to have my preference of which hypothetical husband I prefer LOL ♥️
i'm actually surprised Terrifier is on here tbh xD wasn't aware that people thought it was bad, when I first watched it I fell in love with it 😩
Taft Euphoria It’s not a bad movie, loved it also!🙃
Evil Dead really shouldn’t be on here either. I really don’t understand her idea of bad, or cheesy, especially when Evil Dead was widely considered one of the most disturbing films of the era.
The tree rape was not meant to be funny or cheesy.
Evil Dead 2, gets very trippy, and is campy in many scenes, but neither is a so bad it’s good.
There’s a big difference between so bad it’s good, campy horror comedy, and just B movies.
I mean with many of these choices she may as well just throw the entire slasher genre as so bad it’s good. Most of her choices are just bad movies.
CorbCorbin I get what she means by looking back at the movie. Like teens or kids or even adults today watching it who never saw it before might think it looks cheesy or bad looking since it is over the top with effects and dialogue. Bad could mean good as well so I see why that movie is on the list
Taft Euphoria
Yeah, I agree with that, but one could say the same for Psycho, which I laughed at as a teenager.
Many of my friends never could get past it being black and white, and the dialogue from the era, yet it doesn’t take away from how influential it is.
It’s the only movie on her list that I feel that strongly about, because the others I think are just bad, are more subjective.
@@CorbCorbin then you can make your own list, thats what is so great about ppl having different opinions :D
-Terrifier I really enjoyed and Art is so scary
-Clown is actually good
-Halloween 3
-Drive thru (the one with horny the clown)😂
-House of Wax is also good I enjoyed it when I was a kid, besides the soundtrack is amazing (MCR' s Helena in the credits) and Sam Winchester is here😅
Such a fun video! I personally don't think From Beyond, TCM 2 or The Evil Dead belong in this list because to me they're so good they're beyond good! Troll 2 (1990) would be at the top of my list of films so bad they're good (if I ever made one). I also really love the idea of you making a video on films you changed your opinion on, that's so interesting!
Okay you’ve definitely inspired me to order some horror patches and sew them on my denim coat 😍
House of wax is also one of my favorite horror movies ! It’s cheesy but it’s so entertaining! The gore and death scenes are so cool and well done! Paris hilton did pretty good in it & also the soundtrack did provide me with one of my favorite songs 🥂
I am no longer hiding my love for Sorority Row
Stay Alive, Ghost Ship, and Thir13en Ghosts reign supreme in my book! Wildly unrealistic stories/plots, deep lore, comedy, gore, archetypal characters, questionable dialogue, aesthetics that fit the budgets, and a lacking of try-hard-ness. I love a movie that knows it’s technically bad and uses that understanding to enhance the viewing experience, rather than trying to hide it and failing. Just because a movie is bad doesn’t mean it has to suck!
Yes to Ghost Ship & Thirteen Ghosts!!
Terrifier was brilliant I know it's cheesy but I love it and can't wait for the sequel.
Totally agree. It was horrifying. Which is pretty much why we watch horror movies.
I've watched Terrifier because of you and I honestly love that movie. I mean Art the clown is soooo creepy!!
And that one scene... 😳
"It ate him... Bit off his head... like a gingerbread man" -Crawford Tillinghast, From Beyond. Loves me some Jeffrey Combs. Jeffrey Combs also has the most reoccurring guest appearances across a few Star Trek series.
I disagree, The Evil Dead is not a bad movie. It was made with a very low budget. Unlike Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Evil Dead suffers from its low budget because it does include more elaborate special effects. My pick for so bad it's good is The Killer Shrews(1959), which you can watch here on RUclips. It's cheaply made, has all the standard cliches, it's not the least bit artistic, yet I always enjoy it especially the ending.
Killer shrews was great!
Art the clown genuinely terrifies me beyond what I'd like to admit
I feel like it can be hard to separate "so bad its good" from "campy". I feel like Evil Dead is campy because of an ultra low budget, and is ingenious in how it uses that budget. However, Bruce Campbell struggling to get out from under Styrofoam bookshelves will never not be funny.
My favorite part of The Gallows was that opening the audience had no idea what was going to happen. Their reactions were 100% authentic.
It’s such a good movie
Sorority row, Planet of Terror, and Jennifer's Body 🖤🖤🖤🖤
jennifer’s body is ICONIC
no one:
sarah: this is my fav sub genre
lolll love u so much
literally for every sub genre. ITS MY FAVORITE
Evil Dead IS a great movie. And when we watched it back in the 80's our minds were blown. Never considered cheesy. Sarcastic yeah. Cheese fest? No.
Calling Evil Dead a bad movie is just batshit crazy
I think she is very typical of people her age, I'm 50 so I saw it at the cinema
And loved it but when you grow up seeing CGI, practical effects just don't do it for you, the Exorcist being one of the few exceptions. I don't hold it against her
Again I think it's simply her age, I'm guessing she might not have ever owned a VHS tape.
@@Darkman-Fishing I mean I'm 16 and I love evil dead so maybe she doesn't like most 80's movies or something
If you weren’t born or lived the 80’s and basically born mid to late 90’s you’ll never really appreciate how much fun the 80’s were for horror films be it a cheesy film or A+ film. Don’t get me wrong there are a good amount of younger people who adore the 80’s but it’s the 00’s that really started to take a turn for the worse with remakes, paranormal activities, saw movies hundreds of possession films etc
@Tom Ffrench oh ok.... that’s why there are so many big movies in all genres that came out in the 80’s as well as well recognized songs/albums and well received tv shows......as opposed to today where if it’s not a remake that sinks in the theaters it’s ripping off another’s idea. And who can forget great songs by Justin Bieber and lady gaga (eek!) and awesome tv shows today like American idol or any other “ Reality tv” that could come to mind.
Not saying everything that came out of the 00’s is complete crap but about 85% is.
Troll 2 is always my go-to "it's so bad its good' movie, I mean its not a sequel and there are no trolls in it. I have fond memories of it from my childhood and honestly, it's what got me into horror. if you haven't seen it, do your self a favor and do.
Art, the Clown is a supernatural entity. He's a demon.
I’m so happy you mentioned house of wax!!! It was one of the first horror movies I saw when I was younger and I really loved the film and it brings me a ton of nostalgia.
This is one of my favorite genres, but I get a lot of flak for it. Some of my personal favorites from it are My Boyfriend's Back, Night of the Creeps, 13 Ghosts, Reanimator, and Nick Cage movies.
I would add Zombie Strippers. It's so freaking bad, cheesy, bad acting, bad dialogs, cheesy humor, over the top gore and nudity, but it is kind of fun and it has some really nice original scenes and ideas. If you get over horrible acting it's actually quite fun.
Omg Sorority Row is one of my faaaaaaaaaaaavorites! And that song at the end? I downloaded it on itunes and bumped it all the tiiiiiiime
House of Wax is my guilty pleasure. Early 2000s horror make me happy. The color palette, the cheesy rock music, Paris Hilton impaled in the face. I adore it all.
Art The Clown is absolutely amazing and so underrated!
I genuinely don’t feel like Terrifier was bad at all :(
Oh, it was 😂 but it knows it is.
I didn't like terrifier i just couldn't take it seriously. Its just so cheesy and over the top to the point were it becomes dumb
The Bye Bye Man is the most extremely underrated horror film out there. Absolutely loved it.
The Happening, though. A classic for all the wrong reasons lol
Pooka Plateada I love the happening so much 😅
Good Movie
terrifier is top 10 for me. captures 80s horror at its finest and is quick and super entertaining
Clown was such a good movie!! Like i watched it not expecting anything and loved it. I feel like the guy did what normal people would do in that situation, like he went to hospital to try and get it off! So underrated. And i tottally agree about Unfriended, loved the fact it was all from her computer screen, was a really different approach and kept me engaged! Great list, im gonna have to watch Rest Stop now! Xxx
I LOVE sorority row it’s one of my favorite horror movies ever ! Yes it’s not great but it’s entertaining and the soundtrack is good and the death scenes are HELLA COOL !
Not to mention Leah Pipes playing the funniest "bitch character" in a horror movie ever!
TheHitherto YES! I loved her snark and sarcasm!! She was a different type of “bitch” character she was sarcastic even when the killer was revealed she was still being sarcastic & iconic 🤣💅🏼🔥🥂
@@jactober True. Unlike many movie bitches (who you're supposed to hate) she was so OTT she became strangely charming. Every single line spewing out of her mouth were quotable.
@@thehitherto5348 Oh she was GREAT in that movie! When she cited "bad acting" all I could think was "Leah Pipes would like a word" :P
I liked Clown a lot, it was great. In the beginning it seemed like it was going to be a bad, dorky movie, tho. Luckily it wasn't, at least not in my opinion.
Clown is cool movie!!!
"Unfriended" is highly underrated - fight me!!!!
It’s really not
I completely get what you mean about liking teen horror movies from the 2000s, I feel the same as this is when I was first getting into horror so they feel really nostalgic to me.
Tamsin that’s what I think too they’re pretty nostalgic. House of wax was one of the first scary movies I saw in the theaters lol
Have you ever seen the early 2000s horror movie Penny Dreadful? I never hear anyone talk about it but I think it's directly up your alley. Also the fact it centers around a girl who has a phobia of driving/being in cars lol but it's really decent I think you'd like it. It has that nice early 2000s scary movie aesthetic that I feel like is all our "guilty pleasures" xD
Every high school theatre has a ghost. At my school it was a girl who died my freshman year and I swear I’ve seen her sitting in the auditorium while we would practice but I never said anything until after high school. And I finally told someone and they said “yeah we’ve seen her too” RIP S.
omg thank you for reminding me that Asylum exists, I haven’t thought about that movie in years but I remember feeling similarly about it. Definitely time for a rewatch.
Evil dead is one of the greatest horror films of all time, its a masterpiece and its not bad at all
another great video, I cant believe I have watched every single movie from this video . But I would have added Green Inferno and the Wrong Turn Saga
I love House of Wax! And I was genuinely shocked to hear people thought it was bad
I wonder if anyone here has ever seen this movie called Drag Me to Hell (2009) it was SO ridiculous lmaooo
I love that movie 😂 but I agree it is pretty bad
Oml yes and I swear NO ONE remembers this movie Ouija I forget when it came out but I watched it with my mom and family and we are still quoting ‘hey girl hey’ to this day
Chxrish Grande Martinez I remember Ouija too actually! Classics for being entertaining but bad lmaooo
easily my favorite "so bad it's good" movie
I liked it! Not bad, just over the top lol
you're absolutely right especially about Clown and Terrifier. I stayed up till 4am watching both of those back to back last Halloween
Something about the bye bye man catched me so much that I rewatched it so often 😂
The opening credits for Cabin Fever 2 is one of my favorite opening credits! So much fun, and absolutely sets the stage for what you're gonna get, tone-wise.
If you liked how Unfriended was filmed and presented, I really recommend Searching! It was one of my top films of 2018 and I still think about it constantly. Definitely not a horror, it's a mystery/thriller but I saw it in theatres with a pal of mine and it was A RIDE. Loved it!
I’ve rewatched Unfriended a VERY unhealthy amount of times 😂😂😂 love it
I got so happy when you mentioned rest stop! Such an underrated B horror movie. I remember the first time I watched it was on the sci-fi channel around like 2 a.m. I was like 13/14 years old. Ahhh the early 2000's 😊 lol.
I feel the same way about art the clown, I consider him one of my favorite villians. Considering how scary he is without actually talking. The way he portrays a mime-like clown character is what makes his character more intriuiging and I personally really enjoyed All Hallows Eve. I cant wait for the new terrifier moving thats coming out soon!
Bye bye man is such a bad good movie, love watching it with friends, the train scene is so comical!
Sorority Row is legit one of my all time favorite slashers, I love that the DVD has a death scene special where you can just watch all the death screens. The ending surprised me when i first saw it {i was 13} but its so predictable if i watched it for the first time now.
I feel like this about Wrong Turn and all the awful sequels. Like, I know they're so bad but I love them 😂
i love your videos and get stoked whenever i see you have posted a video
I really liked unfriended. Thought the idea was creative and interesting. I also really like the sequel, "Unfriended: Dark web"
Drex I also liked unfriended a lot
House of Wax, Evil Dead 1, From beyond, unfriended, gallows and Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 are some of my top favorite horror movies
Who else clicked as soon as they saw the notification?
Me!
My “So Bad They’re Good” or “Guilty Pleasures” horror movie list would be:
1. Wish Upon
2. Ouija
3. Vatican Tapes
4. The Fog
5. Hide and Seek
6. I Know What You Did Last Summer
7. When A Stranger Calls
8. The Happening
9. The Blair Witch 2
10. One Missed Call
Bruh, when you were explaining Clown, I was 100% like "Holy shit, that sounds amazing" 😭
On god, TCM2 is my favorite horror movie. It's just so damn fun
I loooove Terrifier. Also, I used to love Rest Stop when I was younger, I think it's not bad, just unpopular and low budget
crazy that you called Ti West underrated and now 4 years later, he’s made the entire blockbuster X franchise…
Killer Clowns from Outer Space I guess could be in this area
Killer Clowns is exploitation. I doubt that anyone went into it thinking 'what a great horror movie I'm about to watch'.
i LOVE that movie
It's "outrageous" because it's intended to be so…not really that bad?
That movie was intentionally so bad it was good and succeeded to the point that it went all the way back around to just bad, In my opinion. I hate it.
Just got my Killer Klowns Funko Pops because I still enjoy this movie that was made bad on purpose and its a GREAT cult classic
Love that you're talking about Clown. I really enjoyed it. It was so original and fun
The Bye Bye Man is one of my guilty pleasures, it almost feels like a parody.
I love your videos so much!! I love house of wax so much mainly just for Paris Hilton lol definitely a guilty pleasure of mine. Also for future videos do you think you could label the bottom part of the screen or something the whole time you are talking about a movie, sometimes when I skip around it’s hard to find a specific movie I see in the thumbnail. Idk lol
Update: I did watch cabin fever 2 just last week and definitely was so bad it was good. It felt like a coming of age movie mixed with Carrie. Badly acted, graphic gore/nudity, and just bad in general. But I actually enjoyed it, except for that one part that was actually disgusting. Haha.
I remember watching 'House of Wax' remake in theaters and everyone clapping when Paris Hilton got killed in the movie
unfriended and the gallows omg!! i never see anyone talk about those movies in a good way, but i agree with what you said. i actually really like those movies and i feel that they’re very overlooked bc of how cheesy they are.
I remember when I first watched house of wax, it’s what go me into my chemical romance hahaha
Couldn’t agree more with most of these, especially Clown! It’s absolutely horrific
I really like watching Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2! ChopTop is my favorite thing about that movie tbh lol😂 Also, I did not hate Clown! It's not AMAZING, but it was entertaining to me at least lol
The fact you mentioned cabin fever 2 makes me so happy. I disgustingly love this movie
The bbye bye man on my country came with the name of “never say his name” (thats more horror than TBBM) 🤷🏼♀️
8:20 hearing you say that Ti west is underrated in the horror community in 2024 is so funny!
Art is the best horror movie villain since Freddy Krueger 💪
The opening to "House of Wax" really freaked me out as a kid. Then I gave it another chance and realised it was just a cheesy slasher.
'Interesting' choice on Evil Dead given it is pretty much a genre classic. Yes it was low budget and for a generation viewing now the effects might seem 'cheesy to laughable', but the quality of direction, the visual invention, awareness of what it is doing is pretty much a sign of greatness.
There is a reason Bruce Campbell is a horror icon.
I agree. It shouldn't have been on this list. It's in no way bad. Being from the 80s or low budget doesn't make it bad.
Aonghas this girls lists are always super questionable
Aonghas Evil Dead is not bad at all, poor choice here!!!
Mark Chase
I think it’s because of her views on mental health, and making sure to stay on brand, as it sometimes has a lot to do with why she dislikes certain films.
I mean her other channel is the bigger one. I think she’s purposely put many of these on here just to be “different.”
Many of these movies are just bad.
The title of So Bad it’s Good, just wasn’t the right choice for this list of movies.
15 movies and Evil Dead makes the list, I question what one considers a bad movie, or a good one for that matter.
*I mean, just checking the why found footage is great video, let’s me know a lot.
I definitely agree with this list! There are a few on here that i really enjoyed also
Here are a few more that I wanted to add:
Wrong Turn 4 and 6, Penny Dreadful, The Final and Unrest. I would say these are bad in my opinion but I love them
You should watch, if you haven't already, Hellhouse LLC, it's a found footage/documentary style horror, I was very pleasantly surprised at how good it was. See what you think 🙂
I will go to my grave defending Unfriended. It's a good movie with a simple plot, creative presentation, and the teenagers actually act and sound like teenagers and none of them are good, especially the lead which is kinda refreshing in a basic horror movie where at least one character has to be pure. I just love this movie so much.
I remember watching asylum with a friend as kids and we were scared shitless and it was like our favourite horror movie at the time
Clown is not just one of my favorite hidden gem horror flicks, but is also responsible for one of my favorite letterboxd reviews. I love that movie.
Urban Legends and the remake of The House on Haunted Hill. Also...I didn't realize lots of people didn't like Cloverfield. 🤷
Omg I totally forgot about Urban Legends! Yes! Thats a gem
Highwaymen and Black Cadillac and Dead End are some of my cheesy favs.
I love rewatching the thriller Snowman. Everybody has a "Kick Me" sign on their backs, and toilet paper stuck to their shoes. What a laugh riot!
I just realized that Haley Bennett was in The haunting of Molly Hartley, but she was really great in the movie Swallow! Have you seen it?
no but it’s on my list to watch soon!
After watching Terrifier I now see Art the clown when I close my eyes. Has to be the most disturbing lead character ever.😱
I’m not gonna lie I love Sorority Row, kinda reminds me of Scream (even tho Scream is better) but I love slasher movies 🤷🏻♀️
Also I love your channel, thank you for always giving me new horror/thriller/suspense movies to watch! I’ve gained some new favorites from watching your channel!!
Terrifier is an awesome movie, and David Howard Thornton who plays art is such a funny and nice guy
I wouldn't consider terrifier a bad movie, i thought it was great.
While being a slasher at heart, House of Wax is an underrated, ambitious horror masterpiece. You haven't seen "it's so bad, it's good" until you've seen 'Nail Gun Massacre'.
