I'm gonna say something here if I may. I used to dislike your videos, because I thought, nothing is really happening there much... Now, that I go through a VERY ROUGH times in my life, I could not be more thankful for your videos. I just realized suddenly, that before judging something or someone, think that it might work for someone else. And now I am the someone else. Your videos to me are so relaxing, so zen, they calm me down, because there is no drama, there is the strive to perfection, and boy do I need it now in my life. So thank you Lydia, for this calmness, for this zen, for you always happy on our side of the screen. No matter what might others say, YOU DO BRING something to others, and what you do, is important to me tool.

Dining room is incredible Lydia. I know how difficult it is to “get it right”. And it’s super scary for the ego; because it is on display for everyone to see. Yes it’s a wonderful improvement on the first try, I can see how your choices have made the room more inviting. Merry Xmas my dear, you’re one of just a handful that I watch and enjoy.

Hello I want to wish you and Ali a very Merry Christmas and happy new year. Also to all your subscribers. I have had a very shit year. I have separated from my husband of 26 years. Sometimes I think you don’t realise what it means to watch you both. Especially as an older viewer. An escape form life is a tonic. . I feel sad when you feel sad we all have crap in life sometimes . Love ken, we would all love a Ken in our life. . I go to church and interact with much older people. I am 48 and they are in there eighties and nineties and it is nice to interact with different generations. We don’t care about income, etc etc. It’s Christmas Day I am on my own and watching this vlog. Had a couple of vodkas. But watching you don’t feel alone. Anyway I am not very good at modern technology, but I can used RUclips on my iPad. I just want to thank you both. You all work very hard and deserve all what you get. Lots of love to you and your subscribers pxxxx

I don’t like the chairs in particular, nor do I like the chairs on either side of the sideboard, I feel like it’s an interesting choice to always have them there BUT the room overall looks amazing Lydia !! I haven’t finished watching yet but the room looks beautiful so far! I have similar chandeliers throughout my condo and I purchased them from Houzz. They are excellent quality (the same as RH, I live in New York), the prisms really sparkle and I bought 3 for the price equivalent of one RH version. Not sure if they ship internationally but it’s worth a try. Happy Holidays!

Happy Anniversary, and Merry Christmas to you and Ali. Hope you all have a very relaxing and enjoyable break!

You go girl! I'm a silent viewer who's watched for a long time and at first I thought it was strange that you were redoing things, but you ended up inspiring me with the idea so much. I think so many times if we do something and put in effort, especially if it cost a lot of money, if it doesn't end up sparking joy we force ourselves to keep it as a weird needless psychological punishment and then we don't love our home as much as we could! (You bucked this pressure AND the blowback of your viewers to do what you darn well pleased and I just love that and like I said, I'm inspired by your example.) Also, even if you just want to try something different, or if it's okay, but you think it could be even better, why not? Why not enjoy your creativity and allow yourself to evolve as long as you are living within your means and not going into any debt or using your in-case of emergency funds and still have plans to meet any of your larger financial goals. Because I'm a renter in NYC I never allowed myself to make any permanent improvement to the structure of the apartment because I reasoned that I couldn't take it with me, but some improvements over time would really help me use the space and enjoy it so now I'm thinking that I will look at the budget of some different ideas and be more open to considering them. Even something super simple like new doorknobs or getting an electrical outlet added where I really need one. I think you got all these viewers because people liked your style, at least I did, so keep trusting yourself. As a constructive criticism that I feel like you won't mind, ever since you got this home and you are clearly having so much success with the different streams of income you have developed, I keep thinking you could start exploring antique auctions (I have one here in NYC that I discovered and have found amazing pieces there), maybe French flee-markets that people always rave about, pursue learning about art and start collecting and showcasing talented artists (I found a fantastic gallery tour that my husband and I went on weekly to start learning about how the art scene works to look to start collecting pieces in the future), and last but not least work creatively with top interior designers. (I think you did work with someone in some aspects, was it the powder bath? and with your Christmas decorating last year, but I guess I'm saying think bigger.) My favorite youtube channel is actually called "Quintessence" and those two ladies feature all the top designers from around the world. I'm assuming that most of them are busy with the billionaires of the world, but you could start there and see who's available and what you could work on together and learn from there incredible expertise and take things above and beyond what your initial ideas are. I don't think it would dull your creativity, I think it would enhance it. Those are some ideas for how you can continue to evolve and take everything you're already doing to the next level. I know you are probably pressured by a lot of viewers to show lower priced options, but Ikea furniture is made from that horrible toxic pressed wood that lets off chemicals and I guess I just feel like you excel when you're working with high end fashion, high end makeup, and it's okay to show high end furnishings too because even if we don't have the budget now it starts to refine people's eye and it's about inspiring. (You can see why I never comment because it turns into a novel!) Anyway, thanks for all of your videos over the years, Merry Christmas, and thanks again for inspiring me!

Wow I love it! The white opens the room up more and it’s warmer compared to the colder blue shade. We’re putting in panelling in our bedroom all being well and I can’t wait now! 🤩
I think centralising the lights was a good move, it would have bugged me looking at them! 😂
    Just lovely, Lydia! 🥰

The original decor was beautiful as well but the new look works with the decor in the rest of your home..Congratulations on a project well executed!!

Think you did an incredible job on the dining room. The rectangular table really makes a huge difference. Happy Christmas to you both and Lumi.

I liked the dining room before but I LOVE it after. Absolutely the right choice, it's beautiful and so much brighter. Merry Christmas x
