Crimson crisis may be scaled with that ulti ratio 😂. But those Taev packs were definitely suspicious. The consistent sliminess (is that a coincidence? Slimy resealers with slimy cards?) With the back to back same supers and the fact that all the supers were specifically cheap ones. The odds are way too low for all this to happen naturally
Nothing worse than having that gut feeling of being scammed but can't 100% confirm if you have. If you have bad luck with buying a certain set I would avoid buying them. Congrats also on 150k man one of the hardest working yugi tubers out there.
As far as I know ultimate rares weigh slightly less then normal packs, so its really hard to weigh/separate them from normal packs. But i think i saw a crease on the doomkaiser dragon and those tactical evolution packs had red flags all over them. The same rares and super rares all the time. I think it is like you said, they resealed and put them in to make these packs less suspicious.
Unless the seller or resealer has the same heat-treatment for crimping and glue process as the Konami factory (not improbable, but unlikely) it's usually a safe bet to check the seals on the bottom of the pack for glue residue. Normal packs won't have that clumping of glue. However, it's entirely possible for the packs to be scaled if from a box. 5Ds was notorious for mapping and scaling packs; ultis have a lighter weight than normal foils like URs and SCRs iirc so it's possible that's how you wound up with them.
I've bought TAEV in the blister packs back in my day. The Rare/ Foil in the pack were probably cut and inserted separately in the factory. I've had damaged secret rares pulled when the rest of the cards in pack are fine.
I believe the GX booster packs always had a slimy texture printing, but I'm not so sure about all the GX booster box printing. My Walmart used to sell these single GX booster packs in a display box filled with a variety of GX booster packs, and from my experience those GX booster packs I bought were slime textured as well with the same slimy streak line at the back of the card as seen in this video.
That God card set at the start looks amazing - I want it! The TAEV packs look a little suspicious, especially with the repeats and little things like scuffs/change in texture
Are these original print run or reprints? The first print of Counter Counter had an error where the countertrap symbol was missing (making it a normal trap). Also, the original Dark Spirit of the Silent had an error where the name text was black ink instead of white.
A side series of opening old loose packs to check for reseals, weighed packs, tampering, and scams would be pretty interesting. Maybe not to call out scammers (unless they're blatant), but more to shout out ones that look like they're honest.
Tactical Evolution seemed a bit sus, but it's always hard to tell? It seemed like they opened a bit too easily, and the holos were in unusual frequency (and they seemed darker, but I'm not sure if that was common for the time)
It really does seem like the TAEV packs were definitely suspicious. The card conditions scream resealed, especially since the damage isn't consistent with all of the cards in the pack.
TAEV looks a little bit suspicious for the same foils pulled and for some little issues with the card quality. For the gross card I think that in the printing process, each rarity is printed in a separate time so it's possible that the commons look in a way and the rares in another. That's only my thought, I don't know how they work at Konami 😂
The TAEV are resealed, they opened the packs from the bottom, u can see how the bottom of the packs look so pressed down on because that’s where they resealed the pack. Just pointing that out
Ultimates weigh light so it’s very very difficult to weigh out ulties they usually end up in the light pack stacks, and it seems waaaaay to suspicious that you keep pulling the same LP/HP super from the TAEV packs. Unfortunately it looks like all the packs are weighed which really sucks, we know that you spoke to the seller and it seems like they got shafted as well.
I havent been opening for more than a year and a half and never bought anything that isnt new from the shop. These situations just make it difficult for an average collector to get into older collectables
Could be real, I pulled an ultra crystal seer with like 30 bends, I kept it because it was so crazy how badly damaged it was. I could always send it in to try and see the real issue and your verdict, it is slimy print, got it in 2014 at target.
There are way too many messed up cards, upside down cards and repeats. I think it was set up for it to feel as if it can go both ways, which I'd say means they are resealed.

I don't know too much about resealed products but something seems wrong with the tactical evolution. I once opened a box back when they came out and didn't even pull one.of them slime cards
Old yugioh are so epic cus i like how back in the day when you got halo it had more value now your garteed one in every pack or some products give halos automatically in with in the product
Something off with that Dark spirit of the silent the card color in the front is off an it should have a black name as every copy of Dark spirit has for some reason
have you tried looking for finger prints on the foil. you could probably lightly dust it with Talc.I will say they look sus and the way they are opening is weird too
You getting only Ultimate Rares in CRMS is while good, already raises an alarm that this might be weighed/scaled packs. Thanks to Ultis weighing less, this is harder to scale than a Super Rare or Ultra Rare card 😅

O recently bought a lot of packs from ebay and after carefully checking the crimps I noticed that they weren't matching up and after carefully pulling them apart I could see the glue residue. After reporting it I managed to get my money back but I think nothing was done about the seller.
Packs aren’t resealed. You can tell by the way they open when you rip them up. They’re most likely weighed though. All supers weigh the same. If packs were resealed you would be able to notice glue or something when you rip them open.
I would say resealed honestly, especially with the doomkaiser dragon having a very noticeable crease and some cards being upside down in the pack, plus cards being damaged as well plus multiple copies of the same cards is a dead giveaway.
Definitely feel like they’re resealed tactical evolution packs. It’s more likely to be resealed than to get those pulls. The inconsistent condition is telling, the scratches aren’t straight lines which is what we would see if they were from the printing process. Personally, I think there are too many red flags to be genuine 😂
not sure if i'm remembering correctly, but gx packs had clumping issues and were mappable. also ultimate rare packs weigh lighter than holo packs, so they are easier to miss when weighing packs. all the packs could be sus.

Those tactical evolution glossier print quality for the unlimited was like that! Almost EVERY common from champion pack 4 had indents/surface issues on the back. Tactical evolution is the same print quality of the glossier unlimited ones like champion pack 4. To me it’s normal. Even pack fresh the quality was garbage for TAEV unlimited, champion pack 4 and maybe another set in forgetting

A lot of TAEV packs have terrible damage to them, I have bulk commons from back in the day and a lot of them are scuffed af pack fresh. Not saying these aren't potentially resealed, but those early gx sets did have brutal ratios and it's a real gamble getting loose ones at that

Bro I've opened plenty of TAEV from that Special Edition from retailers and pulled an Aquarian Alessa (and other holos) with that same poor quality, you didn't get scammed.
Those supers were very common to pull. I recall opening and seeing many of them opened back in the day when TAEV was out. The double Goggle Golems seems weird, but never kept track of that one since it was a bad common. My best guess is that they are legit, just bad luck with the pulls.
Heart of the cards is always with you ruxin34. In my opinion, it doesn’t matter if you got scammed on not. All matters is you had fun opening yugioh packs and get good cards

The error on the name ismt to uncommon watched someone pull from special editions ones with full names missing or bad off centers so that wasnt to suprising on the rare. But as to the other packs hopefully just bad luck and not resealed. There were those ones from the blisters that were poor qa on them but that's just a nightly big coin flip that landed all bad luck.

There are never legit, these amount of super rares at this packs and the same pulls
Pulling 3 Ultras in a Battle of Chaos box is completely normal. You'll usually get 3 or 4 Ultras and then a Secret Rare or 2.

CRMS could've been scaled. Ultis are almost impossible to weigh out so it makes sense that you'd only get ulti foils.
