      I wanted to give him a like after watching most of the video but then he put that party piece at the end by trying to buy likes with a chance to win swag promoting his business...
      Never support a business that tries to buy positive feedback, you will only hurt yourself, fellow consumers, and entrepreneurs trying to rise above the competition by fair means.

    I installed this optic on a crossman 760 air rifle.I have now shot the riffle around 500 times during target/plinking practice, and the ruclips.net/user/postUgkxc4K63Fd5LglDMObu7-Bgapxp_ef0W8hE scope has done well.With this optic, I have neutralized around 30 pigeons that were invading one of my buildings.For my short range air rifle, I will continue to use this scope, but will be upgrading to a more powerful scope, when I buy a more powerful air rifle, in order to shoot at longer distance.For the money I have spent, this scope has truly been a great buy.

    Nice video but you forgot the excellent Pentax line of spotting scopes. If you add an adapter, as I have done, it is possible to use your full frame DSLR and lots of filters.

      One the best advantage of Pentax spotting scope is they accept all planetary eyepieces,if you have Pentax PF 80 ED or PF 199 eD you can use any planetary eyepieces and increase magnification and there is good clarity.

    Didn't think I was gonna learn anything but I did. Great video , Thanks.I'm trying to find the most powerful scope I can afford to view and photograph sky squid and also the moon. I want more than 60 because I have a 60x optical zoom camera already. I can't seem to find anything higher on Amazon and it takes forever no matter what I type in. What's the most magnification obtainable in a scope ior eyepiece? Anyone?

      You must have had a bad unit or they changed their QC, I just got mine today. I am loving it to be honest. The quality is very high end for the price. The focus, the magnification is clear through 20-60x. At the price you can not beat it, period. I wish everyone had the same experience but I suppose QC is also questionable with smaller foreign companies. Cheers. @@trident8872

      I ranged out several landmarks going from 300-450-550 yards. I was able to clearly see each with impressive detail. I would bet you could see steel impacts at 1000 yards, again with my unit that I received. I would hope the QC would be able to be this consistent but I have mixed reviews on the image quality at 40-60x. Mine works great, the focus is the huge factor. My focus actually changes the point of focus and absolutely sharpens the image once you mess with the rough and fine focus.

    I've heard some negative results of the vanguard. My question is if it was used with a cell phone or DSLR, and if aps-c or F/F makes a difference or it just focuses differently and/or cropping ability of the F/F. I'm assuming with the sensor size of aps-c would be better than a cell phone.

    Super helpful, thank you! Do you know if the nitrogen filled ones are affected by high elevation? I’m talking 12k feet.

    • @GeorgesCamerasTV
      @GeorgesCamerasTV  2 года назад

      Hi Clint! Great nitrogen scopes won't be affected by elevation as they have their 'own atmosphere' inside the scope, not being affected by what's outside.

    • @Lucentlens
      @Lucentlens 2 года назад

      An excellent question - & I'm finding the reply you got so far, very sweet!
      You're very correct to wonder - as the nitrogen-filled ones will by definition seek to be air-tight. This then means that they won't of course be able to equalise pressure, as you take it higher.
      I'd proffer that they're filled to just a tab over 1atm - so ensure at least a positive pressure differential, versus standard air pressure.
      Now this pressure will of course rise as you go up in altitude - as to how it will fare, will be down to how well & strongly sealed it really is, & of course how much altitude the manufacturers bargained for (if they did at all).
      I'm going to re-examine the instructions for my devices, to see if this is covered off.
      And I appreciate your concern - will it survive happily, leak air past a small seal or knob - or pop a lens/blow up!

    • @SouthernCodester91
      @SouthernCodester91 10 месяцев назад

      I just received the Vanguard Endeavor HD 82A, I can honestly say, my unit punches wayyy harder than the price suggests. The glass is very clear even through 60x which I have heard people complain about it being unusable at that magnification. Not the case with my unit at least. The focus knob for rough and fine focus works absolutely suburb. I also tried it in low lighting and at dusk and was still able to get an acceptable image. I am truly pleased with it. I considered scopes well over $1k including the Tract TORIC UHD 27-55x80, Maven S1A, and the Vortex Viper HD or Vortex Razor HD. I am sure the glass quality is much higher in the Tract and Maven than this however the clarity through the magnification is what I am impressed with at this price. I would put money on this that this could stack up with the Vortex Viper HD if all units preformed this well. I would highly recommend this. The warranty also sounds pretty legit as well. Just my 2 cents. Cheers!

    Can anyone explain the point of a zoom eyepiece that has a smaller apparent field at the low end focal length?? I thought the point of the lower mag was the wider field it gave. I have seen this over the years, and no-one comments on it.

    The best Spotting Telescope for Birdwatching you can get now are the Kowa TSN-99A Prominar with the TE-XW80 eyepiece which have 40x magnification with a field of view of 39 meters at a 1000 meters distance, I have got this Spotting Telescope and can very highly recommend it, my former Scopes was the Zeiss Diascope 85 and before that the Kowa TSN-3. Only get the very best and sturdy tripods for Spotting Telescopes, do NEVER use a center column, it will be best to avoid a tripod with center column !
    I have compared the Kowa TSN-99A Prominar to the Zeiss Victory Harpia 95, the image quality are just about the same, not any significant difference, but the handling are very different, it is much faster to find a flying bird with the Kowa Scope and it is much faster and more precise to focus with the Kowa Scope, at the time of the comparison in autumn 2022 the price was the same for the Kowa and the Zeiss included eyepiece, but now the Zeiss are more expensive without the eyepiece than the Kowa with the eyepiece included, so I cannot recommend the Zeiss in any way ! Get the Kowa !!!

    • @trident8872
      @trident8872 Год назад

      Kowa uses pure Fluorite glass however Zeiss doesn't disclose which Fluorite glass they use they are so confusing also Zeiss says about HT meandy High transmission and on Conquest series HD means High Definition what a joke Zeiss.

    • @cameraprepper7938
      @cameraprepper7938 Год назад

      @@Sergey_Sergeev The Zeiss Diascope 85 is very Good, when it was new, the 20-60x zoom ocular was the best you could get at that time, it is still very good compared to new Spotting Telescopes, if you can find a 30x ocular it will be even better, a friend of mine still use the Zeiss scope I had. The zoom ocular is very good at 20x-30x, good at 40x and ok at 50x-60x. The Zeiss is easy to use and operate, though Kowa scopes is the very best to use and find flying birds.

    Chinese made Vanguard spotting scopes are GARBAGE!!!! I bought one to try out and the images were horrendous. You are better off spend the extra money on Japanese or EU made ones. Personally, I like the Swarovski ones. The 115mm objective lens from Swarovski is 2nd to none, the only drawback is the weight. That's why I also have the 60mm ones for backpacking.

      Probably not the best but i just bought the vanguard 560a. And as a broke biology student it's more than perfect for me rn. It's quite cheap, light and small so it's easy to carry both a scope and binoculars. Just used it for birding the other day and whilst the purple sheen is quite noticeable I was still able to identify many many more species than with just binoculars. So yeah, if you have bigger bugdet def go for swarowski etc. But for tighter budget and begginers it's great.

    • @trident8872
      @trident8872 Год назад

      Yes! You are absolutely right! Vanguard Endeavour HD 82 A top of the line of Vanguard doesn't have good clarity after 30x magnification and its really not good for long distance observation such a garbage despite having interchangeable eyepiece option but no any other eyepiece can fit in it because of it's bayonet mount I think best spotting scopes are Nikons monarch line,after that bit top Swarovski and the best Fluorite glass Kowa it's the best
