I’m 67, and have had these issues since my early 20’s. I wish I had info like this before now! So many years of health anxiety and worry, afraid I was having a heart attack.

I only have them most of the time when I drive and when the roads are bumpy, but I think that I have a some issue with my blow thing because I have a lot of blowing and gases during the day how many regular beats or palpitations per day you have on average since you were your 20s.?
I have about 5-15 irregular beats per 24 hours , but i work night shifts and got sleep deprivation as well

By far the best video on the topic I have seen
I have another update in 2022😁: I've been eating bitter gourd and that had the best effect of all. So, twice a month I ate bitter gourd and it worked....but to my surprise Green split peas soup! Wow! I hadn't eaten split peas for years. So, last week I suddenly started craving them. I cooked them in a pressure cooker with various spices like chicken powders, cayenne and lemon powder (spices give me palpitations, especially black pepper) and Maggie bouillon block. I expected some palpitations that night...and you won't believe how it calmed my system down. For the first time since 2018 my heart has been this quiet. Amazing! I want some feedback about this, to make sure it is the green split peas. So please try it and let me know your experiences. RUclips doesn't always notify me when I have a response, but I'll try to find the videos.
Update nr.2: when you don't drink enough water, it causes your blood to become thick. You're heart then has to work harder to pump your'e blood through your veins...and thus causes palpitations...and hypertension. I discovered this while I was dieting. I woke up in the middle of the night, because my heart was beating so fast. I knew I didn't eat anything bad. These palpitations were actually worse than when I had eaten to much. I felt like I was going to faint. Later on I experienced tingeling sensations in my hands and feet. And I know that meant that there was a problem with my blood circulation. So that's how I knew It has to do with the fact I didn't drink enough water.
I have an update: I started eating 1 or a half clove of garlic every other day and...wow the results are amazing in so many ways. It's not easy to eat raw garlic. It burns terribly, but you won't be sorry. Give it a try!
In my case it was weight. I started eating 2 very small portions a day. And I snack on fruits. Drink a lot of water. Ofcourse I also take magnesium, don't do alcohol, caffeine, not much salt, watch out for preservatives...and it works. Hallelujah!!!
thank you so much for this comment! definitely relaxed me a bit. Will start eating better and drinking lots of water!
Thanks for the info

Thank you, clear and concise. Just what I needed.
Thanks Dr. great video in particular the explaining the connection to how one perceives the heartbeat triggered by external events.
I've had severe palpitations/fluttering on and off for about three years. By 'severe', I mean hundreds per day, sometimes lasting for a few days and other times lasting for a few months. Then, there's a break for a few days/weeks, before it starts again. I never experience any other symptoms. I hate it because I can't relax. It can happen when I'm relaxing or when I'm exercising. In other words, there is no pattern. All tests have come back saying that there are no issues! It's so frustrating.
U literally just said everything for me
This is exactly how I feel too
hello do u still have it?
EXACTLY what has happened to me.
Did you guys get the vaccine or no
Dr. How i wish you practice in my country. Every explanation is very apt and correct.
I have ectopic heartbeat and a seven day recorder told me I'm doing over 180 beats a minute and my cardiology doctor told me it's benign and just to get on with it. Gave me a medication to slow it down despite me telling him it's already in the low 40s when I'm asleep without the tablet. He recently told me that the ectopic beats are caused when my heart valves are not opening properly to release and accept the blood but again, don't worry love, nothing to worry about just go home and get on with your life. It makes me sick and I wish we had more doctors like you who explains things properly.
I had 48 hour heart monitor and that 48 hours i had 14,000 ectopic beats, its terrible, cardiologist prescribed bisoprolol and said try and ignore ectopics, also I have sinus bradycardia at 44 bpm
Excellent information. Thanks so much

I searched for this, because I always palpitated it's been 3 days now. It is really true that maybe it's because of the negative feelings and anxiety or stress I am feeling right now. I've had that sudden racing heart beat all my life like the doc says which can just start and then stop like a switch. It's been nearly 40 years now but these last few months I've had pretty much continuous palpitations through what I think is stress. Its a vicious cycle and calming yourself down through breathing exercises and taking your mind off the palpitations does help a lot. As the doctor here says, it's much more normal than we think. If it's affecting your everyday life though, get it checked out.
It’s so weird about a month ago my heart racing woke me up from sleep anywhere from 90-120. ITS BEEN LIKE THIS EVERYDAY ANYTIME I WAKE UP BUT FINE WHILE IM ACTUALLY UP. very frustrating 😅
@UconnHuskieees Has it gotten better? When did yours start to occur? Do you think it has anything to do with after effects of C-19? I think that was the case with mine.
Has yours gotten better?
@stevenpeterson5981 I've always had the SVT that comes and goes. It varies from a few times a day to once or twice a year. I just don't know when. The palpitations have calmed down a lot now thanks, I think it's my acceptance of them that has helped with the anxiety often associated with heart palps. I've had the heart tests done (ecg, ultrasound echo, bloods, thyroid tests etc) and nothing shows. I've got high blood pressure which is controlled with medication so I've no option but really to live with these palps however severe or non-severe they are. Fortunately for me at the moment it's the latter. What I have discovered though after much research is that palpitations could be a symptom of another condition which could be affecting your vagal nerve, in a way it's your body's way of alerting you. I've been told by some doctor's but denied by other's that magnesium helps and if you're deficient you should try and increase your intake, preferably naturally with foods. Good luck and I hope things improve for you, you're not alone.
@@stevenpeterson5981 idk 🤷🏼♂️ doctors say everything is fine. Am under some stress with life rn but I don’t have these episodes during day. Again woke up today to heart maxing out over 122 from 52-60 resting heart rate over night. Doesn’t pound hard just so fluttering and slight dizzy upon waking up but went away within 5-10 mins. It went away for about a one week stretch where slept great during night and is back again for about 4 days in a row
I was diagnosed with supraventricular tachycardia. It gradually gets fast or flutters and then I just forget about it. But when it happens I really feel it & it’s bothersome. They did an echo, ECG, and Holter monitor to diagnose it.
Does it concern you as much? I have irregular sinus tachycardia (IST) and I get high readings for bpm all the time.
This guy is the best at explaining this stuff 👏

Thank you for this. I've had palpitations since I had covid, which has turned to long covid. My doctor offered a beta blocker, but it only made me more tired and depressed. I have undergone testing and nothing serious showed up. So I'm thinking to get off the beta blocker and just tough out the palpitations. They episodes don't last very long usually but seem to come every afternoon.
How does it feels like, sometimes when I experiencing it then I can feel like if my heart is beating so hard that it is sometimes touching the skin of my chest, does it feel same to you
I have been living with me/cfs for 16 years, which is similar to long covid. I also have palpitations in the evening, usually before going to bed, almost every night. All the tests turned out normal, but one important thing my cardiologist told me was this: if you have palpitations on a "schedule" it's because of anxiety, because real heart problems or a heart attack would happen suddenly at any time, which makes sense. I do take a beta blocker, but I also do a little meditation and deep breathing when I have them and it helps, you learn to live with them. I hope you're feeling better.
Have yours gotten better? You're exactly the person I've been looking to talk to. I think mine began after I felt cruddy for a few days, maybe from C-19. And they have been around for the month following that. I have some remedies for you if yours are still persisting.

Most of the people have these but only some are sensitive to them which means only some people notices them. I hope my comment was of some help for you all. :)
Pray, eat healthy and perform breathing exercise. :)
@@khushi9561 Thanks for the comment Khushi. I realised later that I was having panic attacks because I overthink a lot. Although it's pacfied since I started living carefree, although it's not in my nature. But you gotta do what you got to do I guess. Hope the same is the case with you and you are doing well.
I"ve had them for as long as I can remember. When I get them, I just take a deep breath, exhale and it's gone.
I literally got this after our heartbreak help
You'll be fine Don't worry
This reflexology procedure may help too. Do a waltz around the heart using the breast nipple as the center point, and inch or so above the nipple as 12:00 o'clock. Press on 12, 3, 6, 9, 12, 3, 6, 9, 12 etc. Do this in a clockwise motion always, never! go counterclockwise or it will throw the heart out of rhythm even further. Then after a while of doing this, press on 12, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 9, 10, etc. Never press on 1, 5, 7, or 11.
This is taught by Stan D Malstrom, N.D., M.T. in his book OWN YOUR OWN BODY
Thank you very much.
I experienxed heart palpatations a few years ago (for a few months). I saw a doctor and a cardiologist, did test after test; neither the doctor nor the cardiologist had any explanation for why I was experienceing the heart palpitations. I had to pay the specialist fee rate also for getting no explanation.

I read as the progesterone falls in the body it cause heart palpitations till body adjust itself to the new lower levels. You better do your own research. I bought natural yam cream and it helped with everything, mood swings, dry skin heart palpitations.
@@ladansari What’s the brand of the cream?
@@GorillaEats777 wild yam cream with chaste and tree berry by Nature's Goodness made in Australia. Be generous using it, but you must apply it to different area on your body, every day. Places that skin is close to the muscles. Back of neck, inside arm, wrists, back of knee. 6 years passed manapose I am still using it. I never experienced any symptoms.
@@ladansari hi Ladan
Have you been recovered from it ?
@@abbasafghan72 absolutely, it's 10 years now
Can you please tell us what does vitamin b12 deficiency with eregular heartbeat ?
I keep getting shivers in my chest. Like the ones you get when you're cold, i'm getting it in my chest could pretty much last all day for a few hours. Have no idea what it could be.
@@qasimyahya699 still getting them idk why
I’m here due to me experiencing these sorts of palpitations for nearly a year and it started a few weeks after my first few panic attacks and they really seem to get worse the more stressed i am. I have been changing my lifestyle such as cutting down on caffeine and preforming activities that reduce stress, they do work quite a lot but the problem is i still get them when im lying down or on a certain position and I seriously dont know when this redundant problem will go away.
Exactly what you have explained is my situation currently as well.
I also go through them , since i started to have panic attacks after a stressing period . The most effective way to help me regulate my heartbeat was to do streching. It works almost instantly . Please , try, and try ro relax while you strech all the muscles , follow a youtube video . Also , I went to the psychiatrist and she gave me a treatment that will help me overcome my anxiety . Remember you are not alone . They are frightening , but they can only harm you to the point where you suffer mentally and psihicaly. If you need to talk more about them , you can leave me your fb or instagram.
Also , make sure you are well hydrated. Not drinking enough water thickens the blood vessels so it affects your blood circulation and heartbeat.
I jogged 3 km 3 times a week but still i experienced heart palpitations my heart beat hard at night when i lie down 🥲
@@dianaionelacurs100 it's important to stop thinking about them. but it's very hard to do. like you said stretching gers rid of them for you. for me if something like stretching would get rid of them for me it might not work because if I can't get my mind off of it I can't get rid of them. like the reason I would be stretching is to get rid of them but if I keep thinking of why I'm stretching I can't get my mind off of them. only when I'm distracted by someone or something and lose focus on my pvcs do they go away. it's so frustrating and could control your life.
My heart has a normal heart rate but it beats really loud and have constant palpitations it’s been going on since I was born and I can literally see the palpitation through the skin , and if put my hand for example it literally moves up down. I don’t know if it’s normal or a heart problem, my mother told me maybe it’s because my heart is placed more up front towards the chest
My 8 year old daughter is having this problem also she always has what feels like a racing heart she can feel each heartbeat ive told her pediatrician many times they sent off a heart echo to cardioligist he said it looked normal the problem is continuing they told me a holter monitor would be next if problem persist
I had 2 heart attacks in 2005 (3 months apart). I was taking several medications in the beginning and accepted that, but I decided of my own free will, 2 years ago I stopped taking everything except my daily low dose aspirin. Randomly throughout the day, my heart speeds up for mere minutes as if I ran a marathon, then it goes back to normal. This happens about 6-8 times in a day. I can't be bothered getting it checked out. I'm at a place in life where I accept whatever happens since I went off my meds without telling my doctor. I'm sick of pills.
Tonight I had tachycardia. I started taking an SSRI antidepressant about 7 days ago - today I woke up and felt my heart beating fast. Took my pulse - beats were fast and irregular. Got up and pulse was 132. Walked around and waited 5 minutes. Pulse went back to normal 50 (it’s always been 50 - I’m 60 yrs old) Blood pressure 127/79 - will stop the SSRI and see…if not… I’ll see a cardiologist (could be sleep apnea perhaps).
ive gotten my heart checked many times and every time i got it checked they said it was fine, and im clinically diagnosed with anxiety. am i in the clear?
same here and I keep telling them they are wrong.
More than likely, you are fine. I also have anxiety. I went in and I got multiple EKGs, two echocardiograms, and two stress tests. My heart is healthy. There were no issues noted. I notice it happens during periods of my life when I'm feeling very stressed, and of course it doesn't go away once I notice it lol. I was told that as long as I don't feel very dizzy, or faint, or feel short of breath, and I don't feel any chest pain when it happens, it is likely a benign issue, and my test results all verified that.
Get checked if you can. Trust your doctors. Coming from someone with Health Anxiety!
WOW omg, SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME BEFORE LAST WEEK, ITS HAPPENING AGAIN & I'M SCARED AF, DO SUFFER W GAD & SAD!
@@redhedgehogocarina had it happen again today at Walmart. my chest hurting so bad feels like someone standing on my heart. After several EKGs and a stress tests with and without radiation dye and several hospital ER visits they say my heart is healthy. So its just anxiety But what causes the pain then ? my doctor cant answer that.
@@1peanut hello, the pain in your chest can come from trapped air just like air that you need to burp out, you should try and burp when it happens and see if it relieves it, anxiety can cause air to build up in your body but it is harmless.
My seasonal allergies cause palpitations. I'm sure of this. However I have seen no research on this subject.
Same here the Change in the weather
