That's pretty cool. I, like some others, remember you from the 'old' days. One slight suggestion. Move your lift point from in front of the door to the end of the roof. It makes it a bit easier to line up the ridge on both roofs. Still an excellent way to reroof the buildings.

Good job repairing this roof, I did give it a shot myself a few years ago but was trying to match the roof exactly, it turns out the house is 3.5 big floor wide which makes it a bit awkward, you can however pillar glitch a row of roof pieces into each other and play with it until you have the right width. (you can see that on a tutorial video I made a few years back) Also I'm pretty certain skooled zone did it in a very similar way back then
Yup, the sizing of the house is ever so slightly off. Some of the other roofs are weird as well. Thanks for watching man!
I do some of the houses with these roofs then others i just put floors and use place everywhere to put the sanctuary roof back over it on others and built stilt houses on top looks nice having different variations 😊

Great vid, I’d been trying to do something similar but not properly got the hang of it yet.
Settlement building is definitely a mini-game within the game. Learning all the ins and outs of building can be tedious, that's why I keep sharing these videos! :D
If you have the copper, you can put conduits with power radiators on those floors - and stick a connection point out the end. That way you can get power through the whole house instead of stringing them along the back wall. (or you could use the super connectors from the SOE mod)...

Same. Identical shape and measurements but there's no way that roof is turning green

You can re-floor and re-roof them all. TBH, I always used these rooves and never even thought of using scaffold ramps until recently when I wanted to make it different to my usual style of building
So.... great vid, but.... hm. Skooled zone's been doing this for 8 years (just without the wall). Lots of good tutes over there, too.

Just use a ladder, square it up. Takes a little bit of time but works like a charm

Where do i find the half walls and the corner bits?

Me I wall my settlements first
Reasons why mini nuke power line or generators are death blow
2nd it creates bottleneck
3rd just saved settlement and knew where there were at
I let my roofs go here reason why
I put guns on roofs but don't know where best place them
Struthers fixes walls but not the roofs
I mainly use use red rocket dlc floors least amount material and wooden walls
Cement is cheapest building material
Rarely use cement wall cause the height
If I better machine I would do more things
However it would be about 5 grand
Would be nice charge rent and nicer apartments make you more money

I just don't know why they never let us just scrap the houses.
Don't how you got this to magically work for you, but after extensively testing this exactly how you did it, I can confidently say that it absolutely does not work in any capacity whatsoever
when I drag the entire roof over, placed anywhere won't let me detach the new roof over the house?...What am I doing wrong?, It goes red as soon as the new roof connects with the house and won't let me place it? I followed your instructions to the letter, and the house won't go green to place. Whole roof stays red until I well away from the house Full disclosure I am doing this on console only
That's pretty rad. If you extended it to 6 tiles instead of 4 to cover the carport as well you might be able to cover up the ugly seams and make the roof look more "complete".

Did your fix all your roofs? Because some of them won't glitch properly.
Doesn’t work on Xbox without place anywhere, and at that point just use the mod and avoid all the finicky placement stuff.
Is that mod on xbox? I can't seem to find it and building like this really gets to my nerves
Where did you get the warehouse components? They don't seem available in the base version I've just started playing..... :(
yeah, the dlc have many more possibilities to work with.
I haven’t seen the entire video yet but I like it already. I’m new to Fallout and I’ve wanted to fix the houses since day 1. I believe some of the dlc are needed to fix them (?).
Please tell me there's a mod that just adds ceiling assets for sanctuary I'm so sick of building ceilings I can't use the rug glitch it's not working in my play through for some reason so I have to litterly put ever peice of flooring in the ceiling by hand with the place anywhere mod and it sucks
