    Well Sonia, nice to see someone else that takes macro without a macro lens. It can be done and you show the results. Interesting topic, fungi photography has become quite popular in the last 10 years. You are luck to have so many fungi to choose from, it is still pretty dry around my area and not many of them around. Thankfully, though I noticed some species in my front yard this morning. You live in a spectacular area, thanks for sharing. See you out there!

      I learnt some mind blowing info at the workshop, we've only identified 6% of an estimated 5 million fungi 🤯 They are even in the desert! Happy snapping!

    Thanks Sonia, such instructive practical information which will be very useful. And the fungi you found is stunning and beautifully captured - I look forward to your next post 👍🏻🙌

    Great tips. Watched a vid here on u-tube where a small mirror was used also for light & a backdrop. Pretty neat

    Great video, Sonia. Fungi really are a great subject to photograph, especially when you get nice subtle lighting. I will have to try out the aluminium foil trick, such a simple, great idea. Cheers, Merv.

      It does work too giving that nice subtle light. I did try using an LED light but I didn't like the colour shift....I think you really need one of those good quality ones with colour temperature adjustment.

    Lovely fun video / great tips! I have been struggling to find fungi to shoot lately, your mushroom hat seems to have brought the good luck in finding subjects for this outing - I think I need one of those 😆

      It was a very lucky run! I went back two weeks later and no where near as many. Always worth a look though...

    Cześć.
    Piękne zdjęcia robisz. Fotografuję ptaki, ale chciałbym poszerzyć swoje zainteresowania i fotografiwac grzyby.
    Jaki obiektyw polecasz, jaką ogniskową 60,90, 100?
    Pozdrawiam

      @flyingparrotphotography  10 дней назад

      Dziękuję. Na początek poleciłbym coś z pewnym zoomem, na przykład 24-100 mm. Do zdjęć ptaków możesz także użyć telekonwertera, jeśli jest on dostępny dla Twojego aparatu.

      To dobry, uniwersalny rozmiar obiektywu. Nie jest łatwo używać tego samego obiektywu zarówno w przypadku ptaków, jak i grzybów, ponieważ różnią się one wielkością i wymaganiami dotyczącymi odległości.

      @@flyingparrotphotography ja chce kupić obiektyw do fotografii grzybów i nie wiem jaką ogniskową.
      Szukam pomocy w wyborze.

      @@andrzejniezgoda7060 Ahhh, jeśli chodzi o grzyby, powinieneś rozejrzeć się za obiektywem makro. Ja używam 60mm. Pozwalają zbliżyć się do fotografowanego obiektu. Szukałbym czegoś w okolicach 100mm w aparacie pełnoklatkowym.

    That music is a bit loud and really distracting. Sorry, can't watch because I can't concentrate on the video.
