    Just as I’m watching this and you pointing out the green mark I am thinking about the green tritium sights on my guns but wasn’t going to mention that as many are so anti gun. Then as I watch further you mention how it resembles aiming a weapon. Nice tutorial, you always make it interesting and also make the viewer appreciate what it takes to do an upholsterers job.

    Ah, bueno! Very timely. Sighting as you describe it is not unlike pinstriping in that you tend not to watch the line as it comes off the brush, but keep your eye ahead, where you want to go. Now I'm going to put a little paint line in the foot of the machine, for a sight line that is more accurate. Many thanks!

    Great tips, thanks!. I've been running through lots of "clearance special" fabric from the local sewing center, trying to perfect my lines. Question, I notice that my stitches are not straight and in line, how do you get the individual stitches straight, end to end, similar to this: - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - and not like: \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ (exaggerated angle). Is it the needle type or is something going on with the sewing machine that needs to be addressed? Is it possibly a tension issue? Hello The Highlander, I know the type of chalk your talking about. I have never used that one. Any kind of marker would work. Please keep liking and watching!

      Hello Martin, Sewing a strait line is much harder than driving a car strait. Just think of it. Nobody ever drives their car in a perfectly strait line. The car will always deviate left or right. Just sayin'. Please keep liking and watching!

    ok hello i have a question nothing to do with this video so i bought a spray gun that has a cup to pour glue in but its a hassle to clean up all the time what do i need so i want have to go thur this hassle

    • @oldschoolautoupholstery
      @oldschoolautoupholstery  Год назад +1

      Hello Arturo, Easy. I never clean my gun. As long as I often use it, the glue does not dry inside. It would be necessary to clean if the glue is allowed to dry inside for a very long time in very hot temperatures. I am busy all the time, so I use the glue all the time.
