So sorry for your loss I feel your pain I lost my Cat last year after 16 years with her . She had cancer of the tongue had to have her put to sleep she was in so much pain and couldn’t eat . They are in pet heaven now . 🙏
My condolences to you and your family. I am on my third dog. My first snd second Golden guys lived until 13 . My third guy will be 12 in November. He is a chocolate lab rescue from Texas. He is hanging in there at this time. Cheers
Having the plethora of cats that we have had, I understand this. Our pets, having a much shorter lifespan than we do (normally), they are in our life for a short time. To them, we are in their entire lives. When we acquired many of our cats (all rescued), I realized at one point that they are all close in age, and that - at some point - we would be having a veery sad five year time period of saying goodbye to our cats. Being the Sandman for our pets is the most important promise we can keep for our pets. At one point, I realized that my age was rapidly approaching the age limit in my family, so I decided that we could not have more pets... and that nature would run it's course with the 11 cats we still have. Most of our pets are getting pretty old, and we have lost a lot of them due to natural causes / age. It never is easy, but we have been fortunate to realize when the time is best, and before issues become harsh for them... it is never easy, even knowing it is the right time.
So sorry to hear. Pet's become part of the family. It's good to hear that most of your skin cancer is gone. Things are going ok here. Good to see you post.
