    If anyone is wondering about the chords:
    [Verse 1]
    Fmaj7 - Cmaj7/G - Am7 - (walk up tab) [Low E 3rd fret, A open, A 1st fret, D open, D 2nd fret, D open, A 3rd fret] - Fmaj 7 - Cmaj7/G - Am7 - (walk up tab) - Fmaj7 - Cmaj7/G - Am7 - (walk up tab) - F major bar chord - F minor bar chord (just lift up middle finger)
    [Chorus]
    Cmaj7/G - Am7 - D7 - F major bar chord - F minor bar chord (just lift up middle finger)
    [Verse 2]
    Same as verse 1
    [Chorus]
    Same as first
    [Interlude]
    Fmaj7 - Cmaj7/G - Am7 - (walk up tab) - F major bar chord - Cmaj7/G - Am7 - (walk up tab) - F major bar chord - Cmaj7/G - Am7 (walk up tab) - F major bar chord - F minor bar chord (just lift up middle finger)
    [Chorus]
    Same as all the previous two
    Hope this helps - look up the chord fingering if needed!
    EDIT: It's a very easy song, just a lot of repetition, so it shouldn't take long to master.

      FOR SURE!! Anyone mind checking out my music? One minute would mean the world to me :) I make and do everything EVERYTHING completely by myself. I’m ONLY 15 year old, and all the music is created originally by me from scratch. You will be very surprised. It takes so much hard work and it’s hard to get noticed even if it’s good quality. You won’t regret it. I do not have a ton of money, and this is all I can do to show my hard work.

    This has been my number one song for 3 years. Still gives me chills and makes me cry sometimes. I love guitar, (I’m garbage at it) and this was the first song I learned that has chords.

    best deconstructed ever. I like the other trap beats as well, even if they require less time and effort. but there is something so special about a simple beautiful guitar solo song

    “Stay” sounds very similar to “Starman” by David Bowie. Why wasn’t that mentioned in the video? 🤔

    I make beats with FL Studio.. gotta admit this looks much realer and practical as compared to what I do. Only thing I got is midi keyboard hooked to my laptop and all the sounds are generated from the plugins. Its amazing to see a song put together with actual instruments. This is awesome.. Im inspired.

    Does anyone know how he got that wide effect on the backing vocals? Sounds like multiple takes but it’s only one layer? Thanks!

    • @jbenoit1962
      @jbenoit1962 6 лет назад +3

      It's not one layer it's been printed\summed.
      The full session is comprised of many, many more tracks than that. The lead vocal, for example, has reverb, autotune and compression on it along with automation.
      What happens is each of the tracks is separated into different subgroups eg backing vocals, guitars, lead vocal etc and then those are printed or "summed" to stereo. You might have any number, say, 4 to 16 different tracks, output to a single stereo channel which is the case here.

    • @mahamedali5703
      @mahamedali5703 6 лет назад

      J Benoit what’s the point of printing it from mono to stereo afterwards?

    • @jbenoit1962
      @jbenoit1962 6 лет назад

      Retains the panning information among other things.
      If you have a mono track and hard pan it 100% to the left and print it in mono then when played back it'll be in the centre again. If you print that same hard panned track in stereo then the right channel will be silent, the left channel will have your audio.
      Now imagine you're printing a group\bus of stacked vocals with one panned hard left, one 50% left, one panned hard right, one panned 50% right and print it to mono.
      You'd not only lose all the panning information but your levels would be off as well.
      There are other reasons. Reverb, for example, tends to be a stereo effect even if you feed it a mono signal.
      Those are two major reasons off the top of my head.

      Duski
      They layer the vocal a few times and then use a plug called Vocal Align. It syncs up multiple vocal takes perfectly. It's often referred to as a vocal stack. They'll pan one take left and another right for a super wide background vocal.
      That's 100% what they do. All these other people commenting don't know what they're talking about. Look up Vocal Align demo on yiutube.

    • @jbenoit1962
      @jbenoit1962 6 лет назад

      @CA$INO GANG
      Vocal align looks pretty interesting and useful.
      I'd be very interested in hearing how you explain the 16 tracks seen at 1:24 sounding relatively similar to the single stereo stem seen in the Post Malone track without summing.
      lol
