The synergy is the field spell. When a card with spell counters is destroyed you add the spell counters to the field spell. The purpose of the deck is the spell counters.

The spell counter SD was the very first deck I bought when I got back into Yu-Gi-Oh, as bad as it was it made me love spell counters and still play em to this day.

If you wondering why skill dark and white is in there it's because they fit the theme of the deck spell casters and spell counters also zombie structure deck is always broken so it's already over before it even started 😁
That spellcaster deck is a spell counter deck. They just threw in cards that hold spell counters just to make a new boss monster that used spell counters. It's probably the worst structure deck
If I could recommend one change it's to give both of you guys three of each structure deck. That is kinda how the structure decks are made. Buy 3 of them so you can get three copies of each card and build a deck. The structure decks tend to have a game plan in them so it would be nice to see them executed more consistently. Also it means that it rewards good deck construction. And if you're worried about someone having like 3 raigeki or something. You guys can have like a gentleman's agreement to not play multiple of a board wipe or boss monster but consistency or engine cards, like the Magical Citadel field spell in this duel for example, can be used at 3.

i think skilled white magician is to farm spell counters. every time you play a spell he gains 1 with a limit of 3. i used to own this deck it's basically a way more functional structure deck 6 that primarily uses spell counters for it's strat
To answer Rhyme who doesn't quite get the Synergy (I owned this irl btw) The synergy is as many Spell Counters on Board, get Endymion out and play Control with your Counters. Skilled White & Dark are simply here to hold Spell Counters to keep your Engine going

I think that konami just threw bunch of spellcasters that use spell counters into that deck without any actual synergy.

Patrician of Darkness (the 2000 atk card) lets you choose the attack target when your opponent attacks.

Basically that Mystical Beast can only attack as last resort. Great way to get stronger, but be careful when you can attack.
