Very smart design on the bathroom and shower. I think those spending time in an RV, besides a nice bed really appreciate a proper bathroom and shower. This is a really nice and modern looking design, with everything included except a hanging locker. If only it was £15,000 cheaper...
Nick Whale up plate these to 3850kg so there is 650kg payload. From what I remember there is an underbed short wardrobe.
Those storage places at the front are ashtrays! Germany is very smoker friendly so I’m sure they are an MAN/ Knaus essential.
Knaus fit a gas oven for the U.K. market but it cuts a lot of kitchen storage space, I’d rather have one without and somewhere to put my baked beans.

That's pretty nice.Great for a couple to travels about.I wonder the towing capacity though?It has a nice diesel and they usually have loads more torque than horsepower.I'd imagine you could pull a trailer with a couple trail toys or a fishing boat.?.

Just a note re gearbox… The gearbox in this vehicle is not DSG (8 speed DSG does not exist), it is a “conventional” 8 speed torque converter automatic… Great gearbox, same as used in VW Touareg and VW Amarok V6… And of course in the VW brother of this MAN TGE chassis, VW Crafter…
Does that forward TV slide? The upper right side is covered by the storage...
Rest is a beautiful design though.

MAN is part of the VW Group, it's basically their commercial vehicle arm.
Nicely done compact camper. Interesting that VW decided to brand it as MAN. Wonder what the reason is. Thanks for the tour!
My guess is because it would have been sold as a cab and chassis for completion by Knaus, so would have come from their commercial arm, which is MAN.
Funnily enough man is also owned by scania who are also owned under vw, that gives me hope that vw may make scania vans as scania is more of a luxurious and sporty commercial name. But its unlikely, still a nice thought that you may be able to get a "scania v series" vw transporter with probably a v6 instead of the i4.

Great videos but all are out of most people's price range..
True. Cost of raw materials, equipment, machinery, labour, taxes etc. are different in every country and so is the exchange rate. At this price point for the above mentioned vehicle and with similar or better interiors, it is quite possible to build an RV in India for almost half the price, which is still expensive from Indian standard of living for most Indians.
True. Prices have shot up over the last three years - this little van might have been £50k back then. Whatever has happened, these mad prices for tiny motorhomes can't be sustainable - all those retirees with their pension lump sums are going to walk away and spend £25k on a caravan instead.
You can finance up to 30 years for these.
OKish van but only 100 ltrs of water and 300kg of payload, it really isn’t workable unless you travel extremely light. My current Cathago is 20cm shorter at 6.8m, and has hanging space, bigger bathroom, L shaped kitchen, L shaped lounge seating with an extra seat, more storage, much bigger water tank etc. I can only conclude that this looses a whole load of usable space vs the Fiat van chassis.
